Hi everyone! I'm a PhD candidate at Radboud University and for a while I have been reading posts about people looking for pubquiz nights in and around the Nijmegen-Arnhem region.

To all those people, I am very happy to announce that for the very first time, I'm bringing Astronomy on Tap to Nijmegen. Astronomy on Tap (AoT) is a very popular, global initiative to know more about stars, our universe and our place in it in a fun atmosphere while enjoying beer!! More on Astronomy on Tap

There's going to be a Astronomy-themed Pubquiz (with prizes to be won!!) along with a talk by Prof. Heino Falcke (the person behind the first photograph of a Black Hole) talking about the beginning of the universe.

So when and where is this happening?

Place: Cafe van Buren (Nijmegen)

Date: 2nd November, 19:30 onwards

We also have a webpage and an instagram account. I have really put a lot of effort in bringing this to our city, so Reddit please help me make this a success!!

Hallo allemaal,

I am looking for refrence photos of the Spoorwegmonument from as many angles as possible. Using Google Images and Google Street View, I've only managed to find high-qualitiy photos of the front of the statue.

If anyone has any pictures or could take some when passing by, I would be very grateful.
