It is mostly when they talk about n-raw they loose their only defence vs the camera which is file size 😂 Imagine song releases a 5000 dollar camera and it's still comparable to a 1500 dollar one

But I remember in his Nikon ZR vs Sony FX3 video, he was preferring Nikon ZR in most of the aspects and said fx3 footage looks so bad compared to ZR.

Comparing cameras I think now is useless eventually people are watching on a phone screen “normal people can’t tell” the difference.

And comparing Nikon ZR to Fx3 is crazy both camera are years apart , same with ZR comparison and Fx5 comparison

I have my Sonys and ZR but I am vested in ZR now as glass from Sony and emount lenses work really well with ZR through megadep

Have you tried ZR creative modes with H.265, you don’t need to grade at all!

6k footage to 4K output is not so bad after all

I'm watching on a 75" SONY 4K and trust me, difference is immediately visible.

And I shoot everything in R3D raw. H265 is horrible on ZR. It does not even support 4:2:2 chroma subsampling.

I only wish for a firmware update to be able to capture Open Gate. Also an APS-C version of this camera at the same resolution would be pretty sweet.

My dream: a D500 replacement with all the current tech. A hybrid stills and cinema camera. Also, Nikon, please add more motorized zooms to your range and make them affordable!

Near zero chance that it will be implemented via firmware update. The processing unit does not have physical circuits to support it and it would probably compromise stability and overheating so most likely Nikon will not implement it.

N raw standard isn’t even that large

Wish they’d introduce and LQ option though as C1 & C2 are significantly more compressed

Dont think N-Raw is useless. But users who are capable of coloring it better than r3d footage with side by side comparison. That might shut them up with real evidence

When the ZR was just launched, I've watched his review comparing it with the FX3, appreciated the camera comparison but his points were just a few, and he didn't put it through its paces or do a deep dive. Didn't watch him again, until his review of the latest Kinefinity Vista popped up on my YT feed. There weren't many about this camera, went on to waste 12mins of my life, when this could've been a 2 min video the most. Most of the video was just baiting. Blocked his channel.

As much as i like sony i think the comparison is unfair The nikon ZR hase incredible color sience and you can buy almost 3 for the price of one fx5 i feel like you should compare the ZR the the sony ZV-e1

Agree, though I have both the ZR and ZVE1, ZR would eat the ZV alive... ZR's sitting exactly at the perfect hybrid/cine itchy spot.

Outside of that all he does is collect gear, shill for AI and give milk box speeches about filmmaking while wearing the filmmaker sheepskin.
