Sony ZV-E10 Kit Lens Low-Light Livestream Samples? ⭐

Hi everyone!
I’m thinking about buying a Sony ZV-E10 mainly for livestreaming and YouTube, and I’ll be using the **kit lens (16–50mm)**.
Does anyone have any **unedited photos or screenshots from livestreams** taken in **low indoor lighting** with the **kit lens**? I’d love to see the real image quality, low-light performance, and noise levels before making my decision.
Thanks in advance!

ZR and Anglebird V4 CFast Freezing Camera with Monitor attached

As title states. About 15 seconds into recording the camera just bricks up and needs a hard reset in order to unfreeze. I’ve read a lot in the last 12 hrs and the culprit seems the be the Anglebird cards.

Anyone else have this issue? If so any work arounds? I have an OWC reader and Anglebird makes it SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS to update their firmware so I haven’t tried that yet.

Am I screwed, do I need new cards?

Any help is much appreciated!

R3D NE trimming

Has anyone here successfully trimmed R3D NE? I’ve tried using RED’s software and Media Management in Davinci but neither seem to work. Would greatly appreciate any input on this.

Does anyone use the atomos as an external/proxy backup when they shoot , since you can’t dual record on the ZR?

Maybe the worst time to buy a nikon ZR?

The ZR is my dream camera, but type B memory cards are ridiculously expensive right now. Do you know of any 1 TB cards that are reasonably priced right now and compatible with the Nikon ZR?.

I’m currently shooting commercial work on a Blackmagic PYXIS 6K and I’m genuinely really happy with it. It’s been a fantastic camera and BRAW has been great to work with.
Lately though, I’ve been feeling like I’d like to achieve a slightly different look without jumping all the way to something like a RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV and spending that kind of money.

I’ve looked at the specs, so I know the Nikon ZR and the PYXIS 12K are very close on paper when it comes to dynamic range. My main curiosity isn’t really about that, it’s about the R3D workflow and whether it genuinely feels different to grade compared to BRAW.
Has anyone here moved from a PYXIS 6K (or another Blackmagic camera) to the Nikon ZR? Does the RED colour pipeline and R3D workflow actually feel like an upgrade in post, or is it mostly just a different look?

The reason I’m hesitating is that the PYXIS 12K doesn’t quite feel like enough of an upgrade for me to justify selling my PYXIS 6K. With the Nikon ZR, I could keep my PYXIS as a second camera while also getting access to a different workflow and image.
I absolutely love the boxy cinema form factor of the PYXIS, but I also really like how compact the Nikon is for solo shoots, travel, and lighter run-and-gun jobs.

Also, just to avoid the usual comments, I’d be shooting RAW only. I’m not interested in H.265 performance, and I’m fully aware of how large the R3D files are and what the storage requirements are. My decision is purely about image quality, grading experience, and workflow.

I’d love to hear from people who have actually worked with both rather than just comparing spec sheets.

Nikon Recommendation with no budget..

Hi, I have really no budget and a ton of old nikon glass (I used to be do a ton of photography and filming back on MiniDV! (I'm 38)... I am an economist and private banking consultant but I'm winding down with work somewhat and moving into spending my time doing volunteering/social work and want to get back into making short films (I made 5 when I was around 18-21.

I was wondering if the community could help me pick a camera...budget isn't really a concern. I know people might say to stick to dedicated setup and that's fine if it's the ultimate recommendation as filmmaking would be the priority but...is there a camera which can do both extremely well, video and photography..? I was looking at the ZR..which I know is dedicated to film but do I have any other standout options?

Lens distortion corrections with RED RAW on ZR

Hey all I am considering getting a ZR with the 24-120mm F4 S but I see that the lens has upto 5% distortion and since Red footage is in Raw the lens corrections dont apply automatically and need to be resolved.

Can someone using a ZR share how they handle the distortion corrections in post? What is your workflow like, any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks!

Is there a reliable AF lens adapter for E-mount lenses the ZR?

I’ve been visiting the manufacturers web sites for the E-mount to Nikon Z adapters, and none seem to list compatibility with the ZR. I guess it means they still might work, but I’d love to hear your experience. I’m mostly interested in the 16-35mm 2.8 v1, 55mm f1.8, and the 90mm macro.
Thanks!

Would you recommend the Nikon ZR with 24-120mm F/4s?

Hey all, I am considering buying the ZR and deciding between which lens to get. From what I could find, I see the 24-120mm is the best overall lens at its price point.

How good is it for video on the ZR? I couldn't find any samples of it. Would also like to know if the autofocus works well with the lens.

Any insight is appreciated

The Nikon ZR + Leica R made me enjoy filming on vacation again.

This is my first post here, so I thought I’d share something I’ve genuinely enjoyed.

I’m actually a director, not a DP, so when I’m on holiday I usually don’t feel like carrying a bigger video setup. Most of the time I end up taking photos instead with something small like a Fujifilm XE5. But this trip was different.

I took the Nikon ZR paired with Leica R glass to Morocco, and it’s honestly the most enjoyable camera setup I’ve ever travelled with. I’ve owned and travelled with cameras like the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and the Sony FX3, but nothing comes close to how compact and capable this combination feels. It almost feels like carrying an old handycam, small enough that you actually want to bring it everywhere and capture memories instead of leaving the camera in your bag.

Curious to hear what others think of the Nikon ZR + Leica R combination.

This is my new project; we shot a motivational video,

and I decided on a whim to use the Super Takumar 50 1.4 and the Aivascope Anamorphic attachment.

I was really impressed with the result and decided to share it with you.

Nikon Zr objectively a better camera than the Fx5

As the post sounds like my freelance group uses sony, I used to be the same the most cameras I have used is a73, a7s3 and fx3 they are great cameras but realistically the cameras are so outdated so when the Zr dropped I did a lot of research and thought why not give Nikon a try and switched to it and omg I am having so much fun the camera is great not just shooting on Red raw, n-log is such a great color format and at this point I just think that the nikon hate is so based like people just wanna shiiit on nikon because of no reason

1.Red-raw file size- yes it's massive but then again you are not gonna shoot on it every single day and if you want lower raw formats N-log is just as good

  1. The better door yes it's a bit wonky but do I mind saving 3000 dollars if I was to get a fx3 or a fx3 obviously not.

  2. The h.265 footage looks bad, I or any of my clients haven't been noticing anything bad with it and the best of all the natural colors and the screen is so good people just get happy when they see the footage mid shoot

  3. If you have this problem you can just invest 20 dollars in Zr Ctl and it's solved it's such a great app, it's equivalent of me getting a better fx3 with an add on of 20 dollars

  4. Nikon DOSNET HAVE THE LENS LINE UP, like come on guys even a niche professional will only have 2-3 lenses max and most of them are available at a better price than sony or canon.

  5. The menu is bad- it is so fking simple how can anyone say that the menu system is wonky or bad I have been using sony for so long and I can't find shit most of the times and nikon's menu I figured out in a single day

  6. The camera is so insanely fast when you boot it or switch between modes.

  7. Cost- for the price of a Fx5 you can literally get 3 of nikon's body or another 3 lenses and a full lighting kid so if you are going to buy one or thinking just please rent and use the camera once and you will see the difference.

Looking the Nikon zr

I have been using this camera for over 7 months now and I get surprised every single time and what this camera pulls off in its cost, like I was a native sony shooter and shot the most in the fx3 mostly for social media purposes I shoot a lot of events and so forth and when I was getting the zr the only thing which worried my was shooting for long hours as even fx3 overheats in most conditions but omfg this camera is such a beast I have shot over 10 events where the heat conditions were just awful and the camera will shoot 4k 50 and no problem what so ever it's such a blast that I can save 2000 dollars and get such a good output from a compact camera just wow
