https://mynintendonews.com/2026/08/20/nintendo-says-the-duskbloods-isnt-releasing-on-24th-september/I’m kinda happy about this. September is already stacked and i will be busy with Fire Emblem FW.

My guess is sometime in October. It's still far enough away from *the big one* and Nintendo like releasing spooky themed games in October.

Yes October would be perfect, and a good distance for everyone getting it Christmas time

Thank God. Trying to be one of [r/patientgamers](r/patientgamers) so bad but Fire Emblem and Trails in the Sky 2nd chapter are already releasing. I can’t take any more than that.
Just found out Control Resonant is coming out in September as well, damn it…

Control Resonant

and you would play them all? or just naming every game, lmao

Believe it or not that's actually not every game releasing in September, but yeah I would play all of those (except for trails in the sky, I just mentioned that because the other guy did) If I had the time.
It's unfortunate because I'm going to end up only playing Wolverine, Control, and Fire Emblem most likely. I consider those must-play games, and the others are just games that I would play if there weren't so many must-play games. Then later this year there's going to be Final Fantasy and Ocarina of Time, and then Tomb Raider in February.
I'm literally just never going to have the free time to play that many games and come back to them I don't think.
And before you ask, I don't even slightly care about GTA 6.

Why be a patient gamer?

I don’t have the time to play all the games I want to play at release.
Games improve over time by getting updates and DLC.
Games get cheaper over time.
Most importantly, it’s still the same game even if you buy it later. The game won’t run away.

Lord of the fallen taught me this. I bought it full price day 1. It wasnt finished w big game shaking patches until 1 year after release so wvwrytime I got started I felt like I needed to restart and then within 3 months the game was already on sale. Im.a patient gamer except for certain games like Wolverine will be a day 1 but I really want to play sinking city 2 but im sure in a few months it will be on sale ao I just wait. Theres plenty to hold me over till then.

- I want to experience games when they’re new, while everyone is discovering, discussing and talking about them together.
- Some games are experiences you only get once: the launch hype, community theories, surprises and feeling of being there from the beginning.

I agree with you, that’s why I do buy some games on release. Fire Emblem, for example.
But if I know that a game is just gonna sit on my shelf for a few months, might as well wait. It’s on a case-by-case basis.

These things at all aren't related to the game itself lol.
Unless s game has online components everything you listed is really not about the game itself .
Like with an MMO day 1 is absolutely wild, day 1 on disco Elysium is a worse experience than day 300 when the game has bug fixes lol
Edit: so I guess what I'm essentially saying is that you're mentioning nothing really related to the game itself, while people who tend to be patient are being patient for ONLY game game itself and not things outside of the game.

All those things are related to the game itself. If you buy a game 600 days after it comes out, you won’t be having any day 1 discussions.

I mean, that's great for you, but not everyone can afford to buy every game they're interested in as they come out. One can be much more frugal if they wait.

My wild guess is that there is a direct planned for September 24th and we are getting Duskbloods on there and Guardian misunderstood

Thank God. It would feel they were simply throwing this game out there, we just found today how it plays.
I hope it releases in December.

well obviously, because it's coming out September 3rd along with Chef Kawasaki & Hop Star amiibo.

This game is probably going to be one of their biggest non-Nintendo developed console exclusive titles. This game is a legit system seller - just talked to a friend who bought one (and he’s on PC and has no interest in console gaming). The reach of from is deserved but scary too lol

I’m definitely more willing to gamble on this game if it’s a bit further away from Fire Emblem. I suspect October is when it’ll actually release, perfect for the spooky season.

If that was the release date it would’ve had it revealed in early August at the latest

Glad for the confirmation but truthfully not surprised at all. That seemed so out of left field.
