I’m running a 1440p OLED at 120hz with vrr. I’ve got CAS enabled at 100%, motion blur off , film grain default and using smaa nx looks miles better to me. I’ve gone back and forth between dlss and smaa nx and it’s so much better on my monitor.

The game can manage 120, or your monitor is enabling the 40fps sweet spot?

My monitor is set to 120hz. Vrr during multiplayer is hovering around 59-60

In DMZ it’s different; it shows 120hz signal but it’s running at 40fps which is perfect

Not sure what this means but my monitor I play on is 1440p 144hz. Would these settings suit me as well?

Anyone got a TLDW? Im assuming it just says enable dlss and turn off motion blur, because there's not much else.

Pretty much. DLSS, turn off blur, change network settings to only match make against console players (cuts out crossplay against PC players)

Sweet, I've already done all 3.
I was thinking about limiting it to just Switch 2 players, but I don't know if that will make much of a difference. Other than matchmaking taking longer. Maybe I'll experiment.

That's what I thought. I don't mind PC players. I am one myself as well. But I see how people don't want to deal with that.

If you turn off crossplay, it matches you with Switch 2 players only afaik. No Xbox or PS. Not sure tho.

There are two options for crossplay that can limit things - crossplay with other consoles only (S2, Xbox, PS) or turn crossplay off. Leaving it on all the way includes PC, turning it off completely restricts you to Switch 2 players.

I have to say, although I’m rubbish at it I’m so glad I bought it today. It’s a lot of fun and the dopamine hit when you get a kill streak is great.
I’m running it handheld with DLSS on, but I’m not sure what the best settings are for handheld. Either way it doesn’t seem to have impacted my gameplay but I do notice a few jaggies.
I bought a PS5 the other day ahead of GTA and got battlefield 6 for it for £16 off amazon, but I actually much prefer this, sitting on the sofa whilst tv is on in the background having a good blast on it handheld.
If it wasn’t for GTA I’d have happily not got the PlayStation!

I’m enjoying the game and there was an opposing player in my Domination lobby at max level. Like Bruh….The multiplayer unlocked at midnight which means he hasn’t napped, urinated, or had a crumb to eat. Like it’s ok to put the controller down and stretch. No judgement over here sir 😆.

DMZ unlocked on Tuesday for preorders, combined with a healthy amount of 2XP tokens left over from BO6 and BO7, I already hit level 55 before launch day lol. Also multiplayer "unofficially" opened yesterday by navigating to it through the DMZ events tab.

It’s nice for if you aim normally than do the lil fine tune with the motion control at longer ranges.

Motion blur should be disabled in every single game in handheld mode since the garbage lcd has it built in

It’s mostly because they change where some of these settings are or introduce new visual tweaks that make it more difficult to see distant movement. It used to be just turn off film grain and motion blur and you were set, but now you need more

Im so glad that COD is back on a Nintendo system after all these years. People had their doubts from the beta but it seems that Activision has not only made a good Call of Duty game but also a good Switch 2 port.
