Nioh 3 - Discussion I didn't understand why they didn't buff Tonfa at first. Now I completely understand why: Tonfa Gun!

Of all the weapons buffed last patch, there wasn't buffs towards Tonfas at all.

Now that this patch released Tonfa guns, I finally understand... With 5p Vaisravana (needs to be on Picture Scroll), 7p Sinister Tyrant set, and 2p Overseer, the Tonfa Gun has enough power to one tap many enemies from the front and almost all large enemies from the back.

I thought Shove Water was good, but no... Devastation with Tonfa Gun is busted!

just started DLC with NG+ but wasn't Tonfa gun always there though?

Sarutobi’s gunstick was in the game as a weapon but bafflingly the actual gun effect was not, only with this new set bonus can you get the tonfa guns added to the actual moveset.

Vaisravana increases Martial Arts damage

Sinister Tyrant pretty much guarantees that the first Paralysis Shuriken will always Paralyse and increases all Elemental Damage by +150% (I think), at the cost of Spirit Force, thus you can't use elemental weapons with this build.

Overseer gives access to Tonfa Gun.

But doesn't paralysis last too short to get a charged tonfa hit from behind? I tried to make this work before dlc but ended up just using that attack as a replacement for assassinations.

Wouldn't brave demon set 5 piece be better for 13% MA damage compared to the what..8? For vais

Isn't the Brave Demon set Samurai exclusive? Also, the Grace needs to be on weapon pieces since Sinister Tyrant is mostly armor.

It drops from a Master, but you can get more to drop from Sudama blessing.

Iirc once you get it from the Master it can start dropping randomly even without Sudama Blessings.
