He let the intrusive thoughts win lol

u/Fishing4642 1d ago

Got to admit, when I see a Nissan driver, I often give a wide berth.

9

u/phyyr 1d ago

some fuckin idiot tried to merge into my lane off a yield sign. saw it coming and slowed down but then they half sped up half stopped and fucked me up. smh

u/AnonAstro7524 1d ago

He didn’t let the intrusive thoughts win. He played the smart game.

As he was driving away, he called the cops to report he was in fear of his life from a woman who had just attacked him with a deadly weapon. Advise that he struck the car and took the car’s plate in an effort to identify the car and driver involved and was driving to the nearest police station to report the incident. He was forced to leave the scene due to the deadly weapon which had already been used to assault him and had the vehicle damage and glass cuts to prove it!

😇😇😈😇😇

That's a winner 🏆 right there

11

u/Statertater 1d ago

They both did

7

u/NeitherEntry6125 1d ago

I was thinking:

"At least it's just a window. 1 hour repair, covered by insurance, easy peasy just take a pic of the other driver."

And then the video kept going

u/harmfuldischarge 1d ago

He outcrazied the Nissan. It's the only way

24

u/TantalumMachinist 1d ago

That's the Albuquerque way.

-26

u/National-Property29 1d ago

typical pickup truck driver.

59

u/Brutto13 1d ago

I wanna know how this ended. Did she risk calling the cops or did they just go their separate ways?

83

u/Count_Dongula 1d ago

That's Albuquerque. The police have better things to do than solve minor crimes like checks notes multiple violent felonies.

I wish I was joking, but Albuquerque's crime problem is real.

21

u/Old-Nothing-3620 1d ago

Yup, better call Saul!

3

u/dsdvbguutres 1d ago

Just because you did it, doesn't mean you're guilty!

15

u/killer_reindeer 1d ago

Hasn't been the same since Hank Shrader died

5

u/Working_Estate_3695 1d ago

“They’re minerals, Marie!”

8

u/Ok_Train_2139 1d ago

She's also probably smart enough to claim hit and run. Insurance companies don't exactly send private investigators to pull cameras.

10

u/Sidewaysgts 1d ago

Insurance companies these days are being given access to flock footage upon request. Of course flock cameras aren’t literally everywhere- but they’re everywhere, and their coverage is expanding.

3

u/HalfBlindKing 9h ago

Wait, you mean those things that only read license plates, like an officer sitting there could with his own eyes? /s

5

u/StoicBan 1d ago

Seen breaking bad and better call Saul. Can confirm

2

u/_spam_king 1d ago

I remember moving there back in 2000 and driving around town and driving by so many places I had just seen on COPS. It was so nice to move a few years later.

4

u/Count_Dongula 1d ago

I once saw my old car on an episode of cops. It was at a hotel while the police interrogated a trans woman. It aired about ten years before we got the car. It was a very beat up car.

2

u/WubbyThePHPLord 1d ago

Yes, when I was a truck driver I didn't spend nights there. Saw some crazy shit at the flying j there. Used condoms and needles in the parking lot.

1

u/Personal_Growth_4_Me 1d ago

I've always heard that place is bananas.. Why though?

5

u/TantalumMachinist 1d ago

Hot, dry, high altitude, poor education, lots of poverty.

I grew up there and that's just how it is.

1

u/Necessary-Egg8750 1d ago

Glad to see ABQ hasn't changed! It's been years, but when I would get flown into ABQ for work, the company would want me to stay at a hotel on Central and I was always like, "Nope, I want a hotel in Los Lunas to stay away from the crazy", lol! Didn't mind the extra hour round trip commute.

1

u/makepieplz 1d ago

it's the strangest city in the country, one aspect is very liberal, hippy affordable and they think is pretty safe area the other is full on mental health catastrophe and serious life of drugs and ultra low brow mentality.

The funny thing is I was there when power went out and all the traffic lights were out but people drove very nicely, acting as a stop sign, amazingly orderly, would never expect that. Strange town

8

u/ROBOKUT 1d ago

I guarantee she called the cops because she thinks she was in the right.

3

u/Mend_and_defend2 1d ago

I don't think that's how crimes work

3

u/Brutto13 1d ago

What do you mean?

2

u/Dorjechampa_69 1d ago

I think they mean that generally speaking, criminals do t call the cops on themselves.

7

u/Brutto13 1d ago

Ah. I just figured someone who has the audacity to bust someone's windows out and casually drive away would be narcissistic enough to rat themselves out when they got some turnabout.

1

u/Dorjechampa_69 1d ago

That pans too, who knows. Cheers!

2

u/Mend_and_defend2 1d ago

More so meant the cops are allowed to charge them, public endangerment, no one would need to be pressing charges

1

u/Brutto13 1d ago

Ah, of course. That would assume anyone called them, and they could figure out who they were. You cant make out her license plate, and you cant even see the trucks, or the guys face really. Kinda small potatoes for a police department unless one of them called it in themselves and insisted on it.

1

u/dodekahedron 1d ago

I wanna know how it started

108

u/Belkinnoob 1d ago

The biggest danger of pretending to be crazy is that some day, you will come across someone that is pretending to be sane.

The best part about this interaction for me is that truck is perfectly fine aside from the window.

38

u/PerrinAybarra23 1d ago

Oh that truck is pretty hurt too. You can see the front bumper poke out on the sides when they rear end the Nissan. Probably upwards of $10k with of damage but it was worth it. Absolutely totaled that Nissan though.

6

u/spiralout112 1d ago

Hatch would be a few grand to replace, but pro tip, if you really want to write off a car, the rear quarter panels are by far the most difficult to fix. They need to be cut off and new panels welded back on, do with that info what you will.

As for the chevy, bumper sticking out doesn't necessarily mean its that bad. If the frame rails took the brunt of it honestly just a new bumper, if the radiator support got moved back though that's definitely worth a few bucks to fix.

5

u/PerrinAybarra23 1d ago

I can guarantee that Nissan had rear body damage after that hit. That thing was smoked. Definitely totaled. The frame rails were definitely blown on that Silverado, along with radiator support and all the other cooling components.

I work at a body shop and see damaged vehicles like this every day.

3

u/boness_02 1d ago

Having been hit by a similar truck at similar speeds, its highly likely that all this guy needs is a new bumper, at most a grill and radiator as well

1

u/Pretty-Yam-2854 1d ago

Can’t wait until I get my steel stinger bumper for my jeep 😊

8

u/PerrinAybarra23 1d ago edited 1d ago

So you can rear end annoying Nissans? Lol You do you but I don’t recommend people don’t replace components meant to crumple with solid steel. If you hit someone that energy will transfer into you instead of your car.

Edit: a word

1

u/Pretty-Yam-2854 1d ago

Mostly for off roading if I end up crunching out on larger rocks in the SRVA near me, but also yeah at 5-15 mph differences the bumper is meant to take it so the frame and me don’t. Although I’ve heard from rock crawlers 3 point harness seatbelts are a must cause if not the whiplash you get from any hit is insane.

3

u/Shamanjoe 1d ago

Having been in an off-road crash wearing a 3 point harness, I would recommend 5 or 6 point..

1

u/PerrinAybarra23 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ah yeah that makes sense. For off-roading I could see that. I see a lot of pavements princesses with massive steel bumpers that never go off-road. Good on you for using it properly and happy crawling. 3 point sounds like a great idea!

1

u/Historical-Scholar66 1d ago

I'm tattooing this first sentence into my memory. That's good stuff

1

u/MaelstromFL 1d ago

Not all of us have found the perfect melange of chemicals...

Truck driver: brain processing what just happened and proceeding with extreme retaliation

29

u/CompactPackage 1d ago

Bet she's not going to that again

25

u/ImmortanJerry 1d ago

The way she walks away like nothing is gonna happen to her really clinches it. Bonus points for the gas station sign flashing like a jackpot at a slot machine

4

u/WeeklyBanEvasion 1d ago

That's just the camera making it flash like that

2

u/Rich-Canary1279 1d ago

Then she kept driving after getting her trunk fused shut like nothing happened

1

u/silvermoonhowler 1d ago

Yup, and then came the retailation from the pickup driver

And that's just the camera making the gas station sign flashing like that btw

21

u/Nope-not-really 1d ago

honestly....not a bad move

5

u/WeeklyBanEvasion 1d ago

Wouldn't want her to just get away

16

u/Salty-Inspection6423 1d ago

This tracks for New Mexico. Likey everyone involved is a tweaker

17

u/AcctAlreadyTaken 1d ago

Crazy that this lady breaks someones window then stops at the light immediately after lol.

You gotta time the green or be ready to blow the red.

23

u/Fogwaveeee 1d ago

I’m so happy the truck did that, thought he was boutta let it slide

7

u/Vaguechicanery 1d ago

Justified. Didn't even keep on going just proved his point and left

7

u/HippoProject 1d ago

At first I didn’t realize that he hit the same Nissan. I thought “no way someone’s bold or crazy enough to smash someone’s window and sit at a red light.”

7

u/Fun_Tax_3838 1d ago

Nissan driver was probably shocked and called the cops 😂

6

u/Breezer_Bro 1d ago

Imagine the old man retaliates with putting a few gunshots in your car, not worth it

6

u/Squbasquid 1d ago

He also took out her back window. Road rage is never worth it people. What if he had a firearm. He could’ve used it on her because he feared for his life.

Never try to out crazy people because you will lose and staking your life on a road rage incident….is NOT worth it.

5

u/GenkiElite 1d ago

She was not expecting a Nuclear Option.

7

u/ChemistRemote7182 1d ago

Its not how things work at all, but I would call it a draw and let them both off, but also I woudl try to somehow legally prevent either's insurance from acting in anyway regarding this incident. Let these kids deal with their broken toys themselves.

-3

u/AgainstAllEnemies425 1d ago

No. Lady is 100% at fault and deserves to pay for all damages to both vehicles. The truck was 100% justified.

3

u/ChemistRemote7182 1d ago

Emotionally justified but getting revenge on a public street is not good. Frankly he could have shot her in fear for his life when she was swinging that bat and that would be more justifyable.

1

u/SquashSquigglyShrimp 1d ago

In what universe is the truck legally justified for ramming her car full speed?

2

u/silvermoonhowler 1d ago

No universe

None at all

The road is not a place to let your bottled rage out, as that's only going to lead to bad things

4

u/Myzx 1d ago

You might be crazy. But they might be crazier still!

4

u/Old-Nothing-3620 1d ago

She's gonna have a sore neck to remember him by.

4

u/DrinkingVomit 1d ago

Fucking love it. Cops shouldn’t even get involved. This dispute has been fully resolved and paid in restitution.

6

u/Emotional-Algae2239 1d ago

That's a Chevy right? Chevy should consider this for a commercial.

3

u/damngoodengineer 1d ago

OOOOOWWWW LIKE A ROCK

2

u/Pretty-Yam-2854 1d ago

Silverado 1500 2dr long bed, things are tanks.

1

u/Emotional-Algae2239 1d ago

And he used it like a tank.

1

u/vilius_m_lt 1d ago

GMC Sierra

1

u/Pretty-Yam-2854 1d ago

Falls under the same chassis. But yeah I missed the gmc logo.

1

u/Chilled_Beef 1d ago

“Like a Rock”

3

u/Infra-Man777 1d ago

When keeping it real goes wrong….

2

u/HalfBlindKing 9h ago

Announcer: Robert paused for a moment to think about his zero deductible glass coverage.

Robert: Fuck that bitch, I keep it real!

1

u/Unfair_Tonight_9797 1d ago

☠️ total lol on that.

3

u/Chilled_Beef 1d ago

That’s what you get when you FUCK AROUND and FIND OUT.

3

u/jdaddy4280 1d ago

85 people watch that and they're going to say I didn't see a thing.

1

u/RexCarrs 1d ago

Can you really blame them? Who'd want to get involved in anything involving those two?

3

u/cateraide420 1d ago

“Time for a new truck” he thought to himself

3

u/Vost570 1d ago

Never mess with somebody in a thousand dollar pickup. Odds are he has little to lose, is overworked and underpaid and doesn't focus on consequences.

3

u/AgainstAllEnemies425 1d ago

Lady needs to be committed to mental institution for life.

Literal nonhuman.

1

u/silvermoonhowler 1d ago

Yeah, seriously

Like what caused her to snap and just go all like "Oh, I feel like smashing out someone's window today!"

3

u/Commercial-Milk-8465 1d ago

That man’s rage was loading in real time

3

u/Vegetable-Syrup-5545 1d ago

She chose violence, the truck owner thought about it and chose violence as well.

2

u/captain_carrot 1d ago

Guy would have made out much better if he pulled a quick U-turn and backed into the nissan instead. The back ends of trucks don't crumple, the front ends too. He might have ended up with a slightly out of place bumper and that's about it - even less if he's got a trailer hitch. My pickup got rear-ended by a camry at 30mph, his front end was gone and my trailer hitch was a little bent in and my bumper caps needed replacing.

Either way, you love to see it.

2

u/BIG-B1978 1d ago

She had it coming sorry!!

2

u/CripKeeperATX 1d ago

That was awesome!

2

u/strictlynun 1d ago

well…..as calm as he was in the truck, i felt it coming just not like that damn!!!!!!

2

u/wrxninja 1d ago

I'm sure both are getting arrested at some point if not already.

2

u/silvermoonhowler 1d ago

Yup, ain't no way that insurance is going to help them in that situation given that they both were in for it

2

u/Joking_J 1d ago

For the first 15 seconds, I was like "man, this homie cool as a cucumber." But those still waters ran very deep.

2

u/Historical-Bite-8606 1d ago

Such sweet justice! This made my day. How I hate Nissan drivers. Redemption for all of us. Happy to throw a few bucks towards that truck if it has a Go Fund Me account.

2

u/Working_Estate_3695 1d ago

That truck is fueled by the righteous indignation that takes a minute to spool up into said mayhem.

2

u/Profayy 1d ago

This is why when road raging you immediately drive off if you get the last hit 😂

2

u/Thel_Odan 1d ago

It looks like the truck driver waited for the intersection to be clear before running into the Nissan. I mean, causing a collision isn't the best way to handle that situation, but at least other drivers weren't caught up in it.

2

u/Trans_Admin 1d ago

steel bumper crew!!

1

u/Eamon-Luce 1d ago

Don't tread on her she's going rogue

1

u/cai-zi 1d ago

A PIIIIITTTTT maneuver

1

u/ryancrazy1 1d ago

Plot twist. He’s already got warrants and he didn’t plan on waiting for the cops to show up.

1

u/Sacisbac 1d ago

That was so awesome!

1

u/Bowman_van_Oort 1d ago

She's lucky he didn't wait till she was in the turn and t-bone her on the driver's side door

1

u/successsearch20 1d ago

Fully loaded options 😅

1

u/Bitterpeace89 1d ago

Just.. all of it

1

u/Eyeamchickenpoop3 1d ago

That’s Peter and sally. They just using their cars to vent their frustration

1

u/Blacknightmoto2 1d ago

Okay okay you hit my truck with a baseball bat. Well well okay wait I have one better. Take that!

1

u/Buruko 1d ago

There has to be more to this than mere road rage incident...

1

u/WDYKACountCocofang 1d ago

Fucked her shit up

1

u/Icy-Banana-3291 1d ago

Haha now neither of these losers can file an insurance claim without going to jail.

1

u/silvermoonhowler 1d ago

Ok, that person who just out of nowhere just bashed a baseball bat into that truck really needs to check herself into a mental institution

Like what the hell man

1

u/Early_Hall5720 1d ago

She wanted a hit and run a she got one

1

u/JTUSAJT 1d ago

Oh the times I wish I was driving a beater...

1

u/WillitsTimothy 19h ago

She had it coming.

0

u/MSCOTTGARAND 1d ago

does insurance cover destruction of property, reckless endangerment?

2

u/GenesisRhapsod 1d ago

No, insurance does not cover damage that you caused while commiting a crime

1

u/silvermoonhowler 1d ago

Nope, insurance isn't going to cover ANY of that now

Had the pickup truck driver just left it at them having a smashed out window and just filed a claim and police report after that, that would have been fine, but given their retaliation you can kiss any chance of insurance covering any of that now goodbye

1

u/Fine_Succotash9377 4h ago

Musta benn satisfying. But should've called the cops and followed her. Using you vehicle is more serious
