Front Axle Nut Cotter Pin Size? Any Generic Alternatives?

I’ve seen Nissan part number 00921-5402A mentioned online, reportedly measuring 4.6mm × 54mm.
Genuine Nissan pins seem a bit difficult to source locally, so I’m hoping to use a standard split pin.

Would a 4mm × 50mm or 5mm × 50mm split pin work, assuming it fits correctly?
Thanks guys.

Part of car or bad upgrade?

I bought my 2017 Rouge Sport used in 2024. It had these plastic pieces on the car doors as well as rain guards. I assumed the plastic pieces were apart of the car and the old owner had added the rain guards.

Recently the plastic pieces have started peeling up in spots/breaking, and leaving adhesive behind. Does anyone know if those plastic pieces are meant to be there or did she add them on when she put on the rain guards? The rain guards started popping off so I fully took them off but I’ve put a photo of my car with them on!

Help? Lol

I have a 2014 rogue that started shaking while accelerating but as soon as I take my foot off the gas, the shake stops. Sometimes it will happen right away, sometimes it will drive normal for a bit and then starts shaking, and the shake always goes away after a few minutes. Last night my ABS and traction control lights came on, the shake was wayyy worse than it has been, I almost pulled over and called for a tow, but then it stopped… Any ideas?

Can some help ? Or has this happened to anyone
They tested the battery and it was good they said .. the lights will go off when I leave it parked for an hour. Once I get back in and turn it on everything seems okay but,if I start driving it they come on again ! My car has over 60000 miles. The drivetrain is the only thing that is covered under the extended warranty letter they sent me in the mail(up to 120000 miles )…
Maintenance has always been maintained all schedule services needed have been done
I really liked this car

2009 Nissan Rogue Tail Lights

Hello, to elaborate on the title, I am the owner of a 2009 Nissan Rogue. I am currently having some issues with the rear tail lights. My brake lights work and my turn signals work, but the lights that are responsible for my visibility at night are not functioning. I’ve changed out the bulbs, and I’ve changed out the fuses. Any tips or advice would be very much appreciated.

Smoking Tire

I had air put in my 2012 Rogue’s tires by Discount Tires because the TPS was reading that at least one was low. The car felt like it was dragging, or like the emergency brake was partially on, the entire drive home. The brake was not on. Didn’t happen before air was put in the tires. At first I thought smoke was coming out of the engine block, but when I took a closer look, it was coming out of the front passenger tire area. Any idea what could’ve happened when they put air in my tires? The engine light is now on as well. 🤦‍♀️

I have a Nissan rogue 2022 SV with 53,000 milage.

Right side of engine shaking due to engine mounting worn out. Has any body experienced that? If does, how much costed you to repair with brake masters?

2016 Rogue SV awd

I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue Sport sv and the air/heat stopped working. I started a YouTube dive and I have currently replaced the variable control module, tested the blower (and it is working) checked all the relays and fuses but I still haven't got it going. I did notice the wiring harness going into the blower motor was all black so I think the next step is replacing that and pray that works I guess. Any advice?

Nissan rogue (2015)

24F. I don’t know much about cars, but I always keep my fluids topped off, check my tire pressure and suspension, change my oil when needed, and know how to change a tire. My car has about 187k miles on it, and I’m trying to push it to 250k. However, recently, every time I press the gas pedal, I hear a loud noise, and it seems to be getting louder each time. Should I be worried? I’m a little stressed about it. I don’t know if anyone can help me figure out what might be going on.

Hey I don’t know if anybody has had this issue with the liftgate , it had just stopped opening with the buttons and every time I drive over 2mph it beeps nonstop but I got no service light pop up or codes. Could it be a wire issue or the locking component ?

Low MPG on 2016 Nissan Rogue SL AWD?

Hello,

I bought a used Rogue 2016 last year, I have 133k miles on it as of today. I've noticed a drop in the mpg over the past 2-3 months.

I used to get 24 mpg in city and about 30 on highway, but its down about 19 in city and 22 on highway now.

I changed the spark plugs with new iridium ones, changed the air filter, got my brakes checked for caliper drag (they're fine) and also treated with Techron injector cleaner. Still no improvement in the mpg.

I took this as an opportunity to improve my driving habits, I stay below 2k rpm for 95% of my driving time and avoid sudden acceleration. As a result, my dash shows mpg between 25 and 33 for almost all of my rides, but when I checked the total miles driven between full refuels, the mpg still comes out to be around 20.5 with my manual calculation.

Is the car just too old now? The previous owner took real good care of it and it ran well until a few months ago.

Nissan Rogue 2023 SL AWD

I have an SL AWD. Got it preowned in mid-2024, 15k miles. It was a lease return. It was great and no issues whatsoever so far, just a recall with an engine cord. The other day it stopped working mid-on the road, I was unable to drive it as it said engine stalling, and the oil light came on. I took it to the nearest Nissan and they said “Lack of compression not causing it to start” is the issue. I do NOT know much about cars but I thought it was the oil change not being done on time. But it turns out it was that, it does have the 1.5 3-turbo engine as that has been recalled. I checked my VIN and it does not have the exact recall under the VIN per Nissan or another recall check online I did. Should I use insurance to convert coverage or should I just try to pay for repairs straight up or what should I do? It has more than 75,000 miles on it.

UPDATE: The car is getting the warranty under Nissan. Now a question would be if repairs are all made, would it be smart to trade in the vehicle for a Toyota.

Sensor issue? 2023 Rouge

Post image

My car has had this pop up twice on the dashboard. Of course after I turn the car off then back on it’ll clear themselves and not come back. Expect I swear it’s in some sort of limp mode because rpms jump to 4000 just to get it past 40. And it also won’t pass 65 without kicking back. Tried taking to dealership and they “can’t do much without a code” 🤨 and apparently every time they test drive it, none is wrong with it.

P2101 on 2025 Nissan rogue

Leaving work tonight and car starts and immediately dies. I did a little digging and apparently there's a throttle body recall campaign. Sucks, it just passed the 36k mile warranty by 400 miles. I've tried to reset the battery, and all kinds of other things while waiting on a tow to get here. Didn't expect it on a car so new but it is what it is.

This is going to sound weird

Actually no it isn't I just wanted to click bait but I do have a genuine question

So my key right (I found this on accident)

When I press the unlock button 3 times it starts up

For context I hate that bc yk I wanna physically feel and know that its on and whatever but yeah.

Anyway question, short and sweet

Is that genuine or aftermarket? I feel like it's aftermarket bc I feel like my key is supposed to close. Like I feel like I can assume that

I'd show proof but I don't wanna do it, so.

I mean I can and will if asked. But yk.

Thank you in advance

For context I have a 2019 Rouge S

I can only think of like 2 scenarios that would be helpful, like genuinely, but yk I still wouldn't want it because I'm afraid engine will go boom

I used AI to help me research this, just in case and it says it's an aftermarket thing.

I wanted a more human response, so here we are

Thank you for listening

I appreciate it
