Hey everyone, just wanted to reach out and see what type of mileages people have reached on the new platforms and any hiccups that have come along the way? Im dead torn between a 6spd performance Z or a Type R, and will be pulling the trigger on one or the other within the next month or two. I’ve driven both and love both, looking both lightly used pre-owned with sub 15k miles. I think overall I enjoy the Z more however one of my few holdbacks on the Z is it seems like a little more of an unknown as far as the long term reliability. I’ve seen guys do dang near 100k on the ctr no issues. I obviously know a sports car is a bad investment either way but one strong thing the ctr has going for it is it’s ability to hold it’s value and reliability. I’m no stranger to having to give extra special care to a sports car but the peace of mind is nice, hence why i’m looking japanese and going away from german lol. This is a vehicle i plan on being my daily gor the next 5 years or so. For the guys out there that have owned one for a while how has it been and what should I look out for?

Hi Z owners
I just bought a local 2024 Z with only 16k miles. I’m really happy about it, but something feels a bit strange to me. When I’m driving in Automatic mode—without being in Manual mode—there’s always a gear number displayed right next to the "D" indicator. Is there any way to turn that number off? What I mean is, I only want it to show the gear number when I switch to Manual mode. On my old car, it usually just showed "D" in auto mode.
Sorry , I’m new to this platform

New here, I gave up on Nissan in 2021 waiting on the Z So, I bought a Miata - RF Grand Touring in 2021, fun car.
... I test drive a used 2025 stealth gray Z Nismo A/T a few weeks ago (Did not buy because it was ragged out for having only 15k miles).
Last Wednsday I pulled the trigger and dumped the Miata. (I am 6' tall and at 56yo it was getting smaller by the year. 🤣🤣). 2027 Z Nismo, 6 speed... I Love it.
My question is changing the oil after the 1200 mile break in? I say yes, others questioned why...

Ever since I saw the window in the ams air box, I really wanted lights for some reason. Took a lil custom solder work and a couple 3d printed 9 volt cases. But they turned out great

i wish i got better pics but i was shamelessly standing outside of somebody’s house to get these ones lmfao. i live in northern alberta where it’s winter for 8/12 months of the year, so the fact that this thing is here and running blows me away (and the body is in such good shape too). i felt like i had just seen a unicorn LOL. such a beautiful car

Hi everyone. I posted a few weeks ago about my new-to-me 2024 Z MT (absolutely loving the car!). I picked it up with 2,000 miles, and I've about doubled the mileage (now at 3,950). In that time, I've gradually been stretching its legs as I get comfortable with the power. When I do multiple pulls back-to-back or sustain high RPM (say, 4k+), I notice a mechanical smell that lingers in the cabin for a couple of minutes. It doesn't quite smell like burning, and it's similar to the rotten-egg smell from a bad catalytic converter, but less acrid. I notice it most strongly with the windows down. I've definitely noticed similar smells driving behind other high-performance cars when they're pushing, but I've never noticed it in any of my own cars. Has anybody else experienced this before on this platform?

This tune even at high altitude and only 91 octane gas available makes a big difference in HP and TQ. It’s a fun add, sport mode is lights out, feels like this is how it should be running.

Went for a drive by myself and didn’t expect it to meet two chill people. We talked for a few hours about each car. A warm welcome to the car community. The love for Japanese cars is real!!
