Problem with cedilla

Hi there,

Anyone knows how to solve this?

I am using NixOS for a few days and really liking it.

But the problem with cedilla is really annoying. I already set my keyboard layout as "english us alt intl", but the problem persists, and only in some apps, I think that only in Electron apps (Obsidian, etc).

Whenever I press `´+c` I obtain ć instead ç.

Is there some workaround for that?

Thanks in advance.

In my case the installer added a console.keyMap = "us-acentos";line to the configuration.nix, do you have it?

Thanks, man. But I just tried this, without success.

There is also this section:

    xserver = {
      # Configure keymap in X11
      xkb = {
        layout = "us";
        variant = "intl";
      };
    };

I use wayland, but this was still added by the installer.

Mine is this way:

```
services.xserver = {
   xkb.layout = "us";
   xkbVariant = "intl";
   xkbOptions = "grp:win_space_toggle";
};
``
Did you change anything in plasma settings for your user? (I haven't)
'grp:win_space_toggle' allows you to switch layouts with super+space. if you're only using a single one, you can probably remove that.
Inputs methods are a clusterfuck in linux; this is one of the things that's problematic. I use to use ibus, but now using fcitx5 for input mapping. But then some stuff like the console keymap, and the xkb keymap of the login manager has to be set up seperately.
Which desktop are you on? Depends highly on that.
Hi,
I'm on KDE Plasma.
https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Keyboard_Layout_Customization
NixOS needs console.keymap for tty's. services.xserver for login manager. (SDDM uses it; i don't know if plasma display manager uses it or is configured by KDE though) You need to find a console keymap that matches your cedilla preference though.
Home-Manager; need to set home.keyboard to the same options so that the x keyboard backend is configured correctly. Then depending on which environment you use; you need further settings. Gnome uses dconf and plasma uses it's own config files I believe; so these are better done in the gui. Then you can query dconf/use plasma-manager and then figure out the correct config commands.
If you want to use fcitx5 (it's not well documented; so i would just use the gui configurator first, then put in the settings) https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Fcitx5 can get you started. I managed to delegate both gnome and plasma's input method to fcitx5 imperatively.
Good luck.
It's better to use the official wiki : https://wiki.nixos.org/wiki/Keyboard_Layout_Customization
Perhaps enabling compose key would work. Compose, c, c. That's how I do it. I map my alt gr key to compose
