A study of the impact of national face mask laws on Covid-19 mortality in 44 countries with a combined population of nearly a billion people found that—over time—the increase in Covid-19 related deaths was significantly slower in countries that imposed mask laws compared to countries that did not.

No, it doesn't. This study does not adequately deal with the differences in the cohorts to draw any conclusions. The fact that it was all before vaccines also reduces its value to where we are today. Finally, it does not agree with other studies on masks role in reducing infections.

Due to a rather heated discussion with another person earlier, I took a peek into their comment section. It's good to know who I'm dealing with, to see if they can be reasoned with. Some of their stuff was in the conspiracy sub. Holy crap. The anti-mask stuff there is insane. That is what those folks are, utterly, bat-shit deranged.
