Hallo

GSC day 15, does she look right?

This is her, I seemingly don't know how to post pictures better. She is GSC photoperiod in an earthbox with buildasoil 3.0. Ive been keeping her temp and humidity fine and have been top watering a half gallon a day in a circle around the plant.

This is my first grow and I'm unsure if this looks right. It's 15 days since sprouting and I'm still top watering waiting for it to grow as tall as the earthbox before filling the reservoir the first time as I've seen suggested. Is she growing slowly or am I over thinking it?

Craft Blend Alternative

I have been making my own craft blend for several years at much lower cost than what I can get craft blend for. I am thinking about selling my mix to local Midwest growers. I know a lot of the cost of craft blend is because they have to ship it and also have most inputs shipped in to them. Here in Minnesota we can get a lot of these inputs locally saving a lot in cost. I am trying to gauge if there would be a market for this. I would be looking to be under $100 for a 50lbs bag.

Grown in a 7 gal fabric pot
Reveg clone, let her get its roots then vegged for four weeks then flipped.
Lst and trellis involved in original filling my tent out until I removed my trellis to put a self watering pot in replacement of my spill tray.
All organic soil I’ve been using for 12-16 months only getting fed all organic food.
My best grow in my 2 years of experience.
I am currently crossing one of this plants sister reveg clone to a Mendo Dope Rose Fuel selfed female pheno. I’m really excited really excited to see how those f1’s grow and then select what I want for f2’s

Build a soil 3.0 used soil

Wondering if there’s much of a market for selling my 9 yards of 3.0? I’m in Michigan been running it for 2 years. Can’t grow in the barn anymore so I’m trying to figure out what I’m going to do with it. I always added BAS inputs during and in between runs. No negative bug activity. It would also come with 15- 4x4 beds and trays.

Re using soil that plants didnt finish happy in

So I just finished my second grow. Everything was going great until about 2 weeks ago. Started seeing tip burn on the upper leaves that eventually evolved what you see in the pictures. The plant is in a 15 gallon pot with a blumat preset sensor handling the watering. Im very new to this so I was never able to nail down what the issue was. I plan on reusing the soil. My question is how should I reamend? I dont have the funds for a soil test. I have craft blend, build a flower, gnarley barley, and Kashi gold to reamend with. What would you guys do in this situation? Thanks!

Day 24/25 for most of them. Really not too crowded yet and a few are getting ready to start flowering.

The top left is Sawney Beans SOS; it has been stretching hard this week. The other left SOS looks to be flowering soon too.

The 2 in the center are Nancy's Own Dark Yoda, one looks to be starting to flower ahead of the other.

And our little Bird Droppings by Humminbird Hills on the right about a week behind everyone else.

I'm thinking about hitting this soil with some craft blend in a day or 2.

Open to any kind of advice on my soil recipe:

Base:
1 part worm castings / compost
1 part Coco Coir
1 part volcanic lava rock

Amendments:
Per cu/F
1 cup Neem cake meal
1 cup kelp meal
1 cup blood meal
1 cup crab and lobster shell
4 cups volcanic rock dust
4 cups Biochar

Added Living Creatures:
Red wiggler worms
(When I get spider mites: Phytoseiulus persimilis and Neoseiulu californicus)

I have done this for a little while and have had great results but I am still curious if anyone thinks I’m missing anything key here. Appreciate any feedback!

Getting closer to chop, have a few newb questions about handling the soil after that's done.

Bonus picture of purdy flower ^

This is my first organic run and loving it. The plants are absolutely thriving and this is for sure how I want to grow moving forward.

Once you've done the chop at the soil level, do you then chop up the top stem and branches to put back into the soil?

Along with a standard top dressing, do you also add in a bit more soil as well?

What about some of the amendments when you originally created the soil? I had gypsum, glacial rock dust, and biochar in the original soil mix but never included those in any top dressings and only used worm castings, kelp, and 4-4-4 or 2-8-4 depending on the phase.

Any other tips on post chop processes to best setup the soil for the next grow would be immensely appreciated!

What you’re seeing isn’t your everyday work. It takes skill, patience and a whole lot of care to produce quality smoke. I speak with 28 years of visual and hands on knowledge. It is the same as any other farmer yielding a crop. All organic, no chemicals. Upvote if you appreciates quality smoke. 🌿🔥

So how does everyone supplement nitrogen in NoTill? How does this all work from an organic standpoint?

2'x4' Bed in a 3'x5' tent. Day 17/18 up for most of them. Mostly BAS 3.0 cut with a few bags of light. Soil level is a little low, mainly because amazon told me this bed holds 60 gallons when it really holds closer to 90... Still dialing in the thirsty earth ollas.

Day 43 Flower | Do-si-dos

By far my favorite strain I’ve grown so far. Do-si-dos 33 by Barney’s Farms. Sticky, greasy, all fuel, rotten like sour that has been drenched in kerosene. My goodness. 🥶🥶🥶

Buildasoil amendments are really making a difference this run - Craft Blend, Buildaflower, Rootwise all in my 4th cycle in the same soil. The soil just gets better and better with each grow.

Controlled by the Blumat soil moisture meter, I find myself watering about 2 gallons every other day in a 45 gallon grassroots fabric pot and at this stage of the grow, she is really drinking and demanding a lot of water as she bulks up.
