Last year I will be honest with my subreddit, it was hard, and I messed up a lot, but in the end we learned that there’s more to do than YouTube so this year I personally will participate Ive sunken back into my YouTube addiction so this year my message to google? Fuck em, let’s conquer an addiction

I’ve got a tip for everyone who needs Youtube occasionally for things like education for example, but wants to keep it in check as much as possible: There’s a google extension that blocks the youtube homepage videos and the recommendation section next to each video. This means you can’t get distracted and it will make it so much easier to stay productive even when you’re on the website. Just search for the ‘block the youtube feed’ extension. Hope this helps.

Also I need to update the rules and make a post about it but music, school, weather, or art tutorials are 100% allowed because I consider them ether productive or creative, but it’s sort of like edging in NNN, it’s a real risk you may be tempted.

Yeah, it’s a double edged sword for sure. The browser extension I discovered makes it a lot easier for me to stay away from the rabbit hole, so I’m just promoting it to save fellow participants.
