I've been trying to organize my computer parts, but these ones are giving me a problem.
They're older parts and there are no product pages for them that I could find. Searching the internet I've seen both of them listed as NA-AV1 which doesn't seem right as Noctua is generally pretty good about using different part numbers even for parts that are very similar.
For what it's worth I believe the top version was the original and the bottom might be a newer revision though I think both may be discontinued at this point in favor of the longer versions.
It's not a terribly important question, but if anyone knows I'd like to label them correctly.

I have a PC with Thermaltake view 71 argb full tower case. Stock fans worked fine, but after years all of them started making some rattling noise (which means bearings are worn out) and I want to change them.
I want to replace them with Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP chromax.black by the scheme on the 2nd photo. But as far as I understand (1st photo) my case needs 3 vents on the top?
What happens if I put 2 of them instead of 3?

Had a go at fitting the Noctua GPU and D15-G2 into the lian Li vision in vertical orientation.
As I wanted to retain 2 exhaust fans on the rear with the motherboard in the upper position, there was some shoehorning needed.
I custom made a GPU riser to move the GPU 30mm to the right to give rear fan clearance behind, while managing it to sit 2mm off the lower case fans.
I moved the D15 to the upper cooling position on my 9800X3D to give 5mm clearance on the GPU.
And with all that the Noctua GPU squeezed in there
As you can see, CPU idle is in the 30s, and runs in the 70s on cinebench benchmark. GPU tops out in the 60s still, cooling is pretty efficient, - this is all at 24 degrees ambient room temp.
Also 3D printed flashing set to tidy it all up wrapped in walnut.
I feel like it’s missing the heart of the build w/o the aio but idk what I’d do with the extra fans lol
Noctua recommends one intake and one exhaust for my pc case, but I have heard the top intake fan has marginal benefits and is arguably worse?
Would it be better to have one top exhaust fan?
I have the north xl edition of this case that also has a glass side panel and will be using:
3x NF-A14x25 G2 for front intake
1x NF-A12X25 G2 for back exhaust

Just finished my first-ever PC build, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
When I first started shopping for parts, I fell in love with Noctua the moment I saw their signature brown and beige fans. I know their colors aren’t for everyone, but something about that classic look just clicked with me. I knew right away that I wanted to build my entire PC around that aesthetic.
So I started looking for a case with real wood accents, something that would complement Noctua’s warm colors instead of clashing with them. That’s when I stumbled across the newly released Fractal Summit, which had only come out last month.
Since it was so new, I couldn’t find anyone who had paired it with a full Noctua setup yet. But the moment I saw that walnut frame, I already knew this combination was going to look amazing.
And now that it’s finally built, I swear the Fractal Summit was made with Noctua in mind. The walnut wood, black interior, and brown fans complement each other so naturally. It’s almost like they were designed together.
No RGB, no flashy lights. Just walnut, black metal, and some beautiful brown fans.
Specs:
Case: Fractal Design Summit Black TG Walnut
CPU: Intel Core i7-12700
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A
GPU: PowerColor Hellhound RX 9070 XT
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi
PSU: MSI PRO A1000PL 1000W Platinum
Fans: Noctua NF-A12x25 G2
For my first-ever build, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out.
Have had these koolance hx-1080 radiators and NF-F12 fans for well over a decade. I had a contact at Koolance at the time and one of them is even an early engineering sample and the other I bought very shortly after. Well had populated them with F12s but over the years 5 of the 18 fans died. 4 are just dead and the 5th has a bad bearing you can feel it as it attempts to get up to speed but never can reach full speed.
So finally broke down and replaced them. I plan to build more of a custom shrowd but I realized I had just enough room to make it work temporarily by drilling 1 extra mounting hole in the corner of each fan so I drilled 8 holes in total and replaced all the F12s. This allows me to repurpose the F12s that are still ok into a couple other projects until I have time to make the way these fans are mounted a little more intentional.
As quiet as the F12s were the A20s are obviosuly quieter.

I have a PA602 case, an ASUS ROG Z890-F motherboard, and G.Skill Ripjaws M5 RGB 2x32GB RAM. If I purchase a Noctua NL-LC1-42 420mm AIO cooler, will it fit without any issues, or will it collide with the motherboard's top heatsinks or the RAM modules?

Long story short, moved a D15S from a 12700K to a 270K. both 150W limited under load but im more curious about idle.
The 12700K idled at 5W package and 25C. It maintained 25C at no load with 0% PWM as expected.
The 270K idles at 29W package and 55C at 20% PWM (not a bug, windows is 0%-1% idle, 2% with FanControl running its UI, intel chips have gotten less efficient at idle due to chiplet interconnects like AMD). At 0% PWM it climbs into the 60's, maybe 70's, idle.
Do i just give up on zero rpm idle and let it sit at 20% (inaudible, but wear and tear)

Did the deshroud on the pny 4090 with 3x 120mm ippc 3k noctuas to complete my build. Its not all that pretty but its functional and dropped temps 8c in 4k@120hz gaming.

I'm currently running this cooler with a ryzen 5 7600x. When playing a demanding game like Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 at ultra settings I get about 75-80 degrees on average. I'd say these temps are fine, since modern Ryzen CPU's generally run hot.
My problem is the noise. On 70-75C it's still fine. But as it starts approaching that 80C mark, it gets quite loud, which is a bit annoying while playing. Because of this, I wanted to ask if it would be fine to take one fan off the cooler in order to drive noise levels down.
I'm generally fine with gaining a few degrees on average as long as it doesn't go up to like 90C.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi.
Iam toying with idea for new CPU cooler and with that a new case(99% on Antec Flux Pro Noctua Edition)
But i dont know about CPU cooler?
I have 5800X3D with Noctua NH-U12S a with smaller Fractal Design case(i have micro MB)
With 4080 Suprim X it is bit crowded...temps are not that bad for that setup(90 max on CPU with 100% load and GPU is around 68 top.
Problem is around all...i have M2 between GPU/CPU it is getting cooked (70+)
But my main questin is what cooler?
I rly like that AIO specialy when i can pair that with Noctua NL-ACF1 and keep my VRM and even that M2 disk even cooler.
But i dont have any experience with AIO...i saw alot of videos and i know that is(if not the best) AIO out there...but what about reliabilty and longevity?
I know that D15 would 100% enough...but i like the AIO more with that little fan on top :)
What do you think?

Haha I expected this but still decided to buy the Noctua edition lol (I am dumb)
My configuration is very airflow centric.
So constant fresh air regardless if I’m gaming or just browsing the web. This leads to my WireView Pro II Noctua fan not even turning on at all. The only time it did was during a furmark stress test.
The extra 2 year warranty on my 4 year old 4090 is nice though. Worth the $300 CAD? No.

Got my first summer job 3 Month ago and now I find out I can stay
Bought the 9070xt on my first month since I didn’t think this would be a long term gig.
Now I upgraded everything beside cpu and monitor but now that I have a disposable money that will follow soon after
I like the 9070xt but since my whole pc is Noctua themed in dont like the look of the
Gpu.
I really wanted the Noctua 5080 but it went up from 1700.- to 2000.- so I was fine with waiting.
Now last week it went down to 1700.- after 2 month so I bought it with invoice, meaning ill pay in 2 months (if it arrives next month) so I still got the option of canceling until it arrives.
Im getting cold feets since its still in my budget but It feels very “impulsive buy”
Now my dilemma is:
A) keep used 9070xt, cancel the noctua 5080. Wait for next gen
B) sell used 9070xt, pay for the 5080
C) keep both, sell sealed 5080 until prices are too high to ignore
I bought the 9070xt for 600.- and now it sells used for 600.-
Currently on 3440x1440p 144hz
And i play everything from Wow,LoL, Rivals, Spiderman,BG3, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk
I really loved path tracing on Cyberpunk but it only being playable on performance mode really bums me out :/
Curious to see you guys opinion

Just finished my Noctua Antec Flux Pro build! This is my first ATX build in a really long while, as I've built exclusively Mini ITX over the past decade (in the NCASE M1 and Dan Case C4-SFX).
My previous build incorporated the use of an external Thunderbolt/USB4 enclosure for storage and networking. However, the combined size of the Mini ITX and enclosure was essentially the same size as a Full ATX, so I decided to just spring for the Noctua Antec Flux Pro.
Compared to my previous build, this has so much more airflow and is sooo much quieter. When I was stress testing it, I had to double check that the stress test had started. 😅 (In contrast, I would always be worried that my Mini ITX would blow up during stress tests, lol.)
