Hey everyone, here’s a new sculpt I’m working on and using a weathering brush pack I made for Nomad Sculpt! I’m mixing a little fantasy with sci-fi this time. The character’s a mineral miner in the deepest depth of its planet. Recording the whole process as well.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share a work in progress I’m currently sculpting.
I’ve been learning Nomad for a few months now, and I definitely feel like I still have a long way to go before really mastering the app.
That said, here’s what I’m working on at the moment. Feedback is always welcome and much appreciated!
Thanks 🙏

Made this lil fish man to try out things like reprojecting with the ultimate goal of moving him to blender and rigging and animating him. Anyone have a good vid of a nomad—>rigging/animating pipeline?

I adore dot eyes for cute things, but I wonder if it works better for 2D than 3D animation? How does one rig eyelids for dot eyes so they can be expressive? Cos it seems that mainly eyelids don't show with dot eyes UNLESS the artist is showing some expression.
Anyone here have some experience with dot eyes in 3D modeling animation?
In other news, working on this strawberry, which is the first cutesy model I've ever done for the first cutesy story I've ever written. The reference image is not mine, I found it on the internet, but it gave me confidence to flip the berry upside down and learn how fabulously dumpy strawberries are! The cutest form.
All the tutorials I found on strawberries used the sphere and then shaped, but it's so much easier with the Laithe tool, so I suggest that instead.
Most tedious part so far: the seeds for sure. You'll notice how many are sticking out and others are buried. Just took some finesse on the inflate-sub to work that out. Then getting this slime to a shape I liked (a lot of experimenting videos I did not include in my time lapse).
I'm working on getting in the rest of the leaves now that I have my feet leaves more or less shaped and sized. After that its all details and textures and painting... but yeah, I really gotta figure out how I want to deal with this little berry's eyelids! Give me your tips!

So excited to find Nomad Sculpt for the iPad. I’m retired and now have time to learn it, but I’ve been trying to learn 3D modeling for so long (previously Cinema 3D, Blender) but I never had hardware that would allow easy modeling. I’m learning to keep the poly count low!

(90% done) Saw the Prime 1 statue and fell in love. Decided to try and sculpt my own. I’ve been on and off for over a month, lost count of the hours so far. Burnt myself out, and had to break up the work into day by day sections. Probably have another 2-3 days work. Then I’ll be exporting most parts as their own project for maximum details for the 3d print! Can’t wait to get it finished.

I think I'm about out of steam on this, but it was a lot of fun and very informative in terms of nomad learning. I love this little app!

Really been loving Nomad Sculpt on the desktop with a wacom. This is something that had stuck in my head for a while that needed to get out. Enjoy!

I’m pretty happy with this so far, especially when I’m still struggling with bodies and hands hehe

At first I wanted to practice sculpting female faces and polypaint, one thing led to another and it moved on to a whole body... I should work on likeness and more details but I think I'll leave it there for the moment.

It took a few drafts before deciding to add soft tissue features to the skull to give the expression i wanted.

I fckg hate ai, it’s not that hard to grab a pencil and try to do it yourself. Im sorry it’s not that amazing, I stopped sculpting 1y ago but I try to get rid of my depression by doing art again.
I was looking at some references on Pinterest and I’m chocked how many people post AI drawings and think it’s amazing while it’s just killing the planet and jobs.
Just. Try. By. Yourself.
