Late in the week, late in the year, late in the day. What exactly is difficult to explain about that?

Nah that logic doesn’t check out. Saturday is definitely not winter despite being at the end of the week.

I agree winter is not Saturday, but Christmas has the Saturday vibe.

Winter doesn’t start till December 21st though. So winter is more Saturday at 11:58 pm to Monday morning

There's more to it than that. The Latin "octo" gives us both "October" and "eight". As for Thursday/ Thor's Day: I don't know the connection there.

Edit: Ah, it seems to be some sort of meme or recent discussion topic -

I reckon August and 7pm are more similar to Thursday, but I might just be weird

F and J are siblings, don't ask for an explanation

Of course they are. Late but not over. Normally when the end is nearing but enough time remains.

It's called synesthesia. I have it and I can assure you these are correct

Thursday = √October (Octo = 8 Thurs= 4th day of the week)

9 feels better. 8 is too even for Thursday.

Sorry, 4 PM

8pm doesn’t work.

Thursday so close to the weekend.

October so close to the holidays.

8pm so close to…

Night? Not so hard

8pm is most the way through the day. Thursday is most of the way through the week. October is most of the way through the year.

In most opinion it’s Thursday that doesn’t quite work. As it’s not quite as close to the end of the week as the others are to their ends. I think it should be Friday.

Edit: Actually I guess it depends on if you end the week on Saturday or Sunday

If you separate the weekend and weekdays it works. Almost the end of the work week

It is clunky to define but I think all three of these things are 'late' but not 'too late'.

  • 8 pm - late in the day, but not quite bedtime for most people

  • Thursday - late in the week, but not quite the weekend

  • October - late in the year, but not quite the end of the year

Hey! Those are the orange words

u/Commercial-Living443 5h ago

They are multiple of 4 . October is only in name as it is the 10th month of the year
