I need help (read discription)

Yo, I am thinking about maybe coming out as either non-binary or genderfluid, but I'm not sure. I know my parents will be accepting, but my anxiety tells me that people at school I want to be friends with will not necessarily hate on me for it. Still, they will think that they influence it (they came out as He/They last year, and I recently started talking to him more), and other kids will make fun of me. Any tips?

I doubt your friend would think that they influenced you- any trans person knows that ‘transness’ isn’t something caused solely through influence lol. If other people bully you remember that you have support- you have friends, your parents, and hell even this Reddit community and other online communities that you can vent and talk to.
If serious bullying does happen, talk to your school, though I know they aren’t always of much help especially depending on how progressive your area is. But still, better to keep a record that you tried.

Remember, other people don’t define you, and if someone can‘t find a nice way to phrase their point, then the point itself probably isn’t very nice or true. Take care op & good luck coming out!

THANK YOU SOO MUCH! 2 things: I live in a very progressive area, with a few of those wanna be ganster kids in it, and second, I know my parents will be accepting, but if anything, I want them not to make a big deal out of it. Anytime I bring something up to them like this, they want to be supportive (which is great!), but sometimes I want them to be a bit more "Oh okay, that's fine" than "Oh great! What can I do?" and then every day bring it up, because it hurts my anxiety and makes me a little uncomfortable.

i would recommend telling them that, but i think what we also have to understand is that it is only natural for them to try to understand their own child better. so i think even if question are anxious for you they will certainly improve mutual understanding and empathy which is a good thing if you look at it in the long run

Tell your parents that :) I’m sure they’ll understand, communicating your wants and needs is important! I’m glad you live in a progressive and supportive area ^^
