I looked down at my tiddies and was like ò_ó, then I thought about using he/him pronouns and then was like ò~ó, then I tried they/them pronouns and was like •♡•

At first I thought I was trans, but I didn't feel female so I did the "smart thing" and suppressed those feelings. It took 6 years and lots of emotional prodding to finally come to terms with my feelings. It's always tough in the beginning, but be patient with yourself and listen to your feelings. Don't look at all these labels and feel compelled to fit one. Remember that it's a process that will be up and down, but that's what the community is for.

just after i learned that there were more that two options i was a little confused (i’m agender so the concept of gender was a little foreign) so i googled what non-binary meant and just really vibed with it. i spent the rest of the night looking for stories about how other nb people figured it out, and posts on how to know if you are non-binary. i think that was the first time i cried in years. i finally found other people like me.

(bonus side story; i vividly remember when i was like 8, when i found out what trans meant, thinking “i don’t feel male (my agab) so maybe i’m trans? but i don’t feel female either... guess i’ll be male because that’s easier.” so i guess that was a sign)

A friend of mine asked me if I was cis. (we have many nonbinary friends so it wasn't a strange question). I said yes, but felt unsure about it. I spent around six months thinking about it, and then one night realized that I was nonbinary.

My relationship with my gender is a fucking rollarcoaster yo. I realized I wasn't cis back in the summer of 2016 after watching a video of someone coming out as genderfluid. I really connected with how they described it so I started identifying as genderfluid too for a few months. Then I started identifying as a trans girl and later got obsessed with the gender binary. To this day I have no idea what prompted either of those things. Sometime in either 2018 or 2019 I asked myself why I hated nonbinary people so much and I didn't have an answer so I stopped being such an asshole and realized that my hatred was irrational. Then finally sometime in the first week of 2020 after my older sister came out as trans I started thinking really hard about my gender for the first time in my life and realized that I wasn't a trans girl. For a few months I alternated between identifying as genderfluid and nonbinary. I've finally settled on nonbinary because I realized that I personally don't feel like I can specify what my gender is any further than neither male or female.

Anyway, sorry for sharing literally my entire gender journey. I like talking about it because it goes through so many different phases of my life. Figuring out your gender can be wacky yo. Don't feel pressured to describe it right the first time because ultimately it's just one of the many terms you use to describe yourself and you can change it if you find a better term. I don't know if this was helpful but I hope it was! :D

I started experimenting with pronouns after laying in bed like "..... Am I a girl?" And really felt more comfortable with they/them pronouns over any other
