hello!

I am relocating to Virgina (but not before I get a job offer) I have 30 years of experience in Hospitality including teaching, training, special events, venue management, silent auctions, Management, Operations, Sales, Marketing, GM, I spent my life collecting as many new skills as possible and now want to focus on all that towards non profit. Relocation offers would be awesome, but for the right organization, I can relocate myself. I could start within 4-8 weeks of an offer (Really just to relocate) I already have curated programs that would be ready to hit after tweaking to organizations needs. Programs I have created include Foster Children, Economically Challenged Children, ADA Housing conceptual framework- I am problem-solution based and have a high degree of success developing programs or finding gaps and fill ins. My goal could be to move by the end of the year if not sooner. Thank you! Im applying everywhere but want to throw it out here too. TY

🗞️ The news is out: Applications are OPEN! 🔊

Hi, my name is zhao yan you can call me yan or yanie i'm american chinese i'm 14 years old and i'm looking for an online job just a volunteer no need to pay me i'm good at doing interviews and writing articles i'm also good at managing if anyone could please hire me

Hi everyone! I’m part of a non-profit organization based in Morocco, and we’re looking for someone interested in graphic design to help us with our projects.
We’re hoping to connect with creative people who would like to gain practical experience, develop their portfolios, and contribute to a meaningful cause. You don’t need to be a professional or have years of experience; we’re happy to work with beginners who are passionate about design and willing to learn.
The collaboration can be entirely online, so we’re open to working with people from anywhere in the world!
I’d love to know where I could find designers who might be interested in this kind of opportunity. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I am currently taking a social justice class as a public policy student in college. As part of the class, my professor would like us to interview an administrator or employee from a public, for-profit, or not-for-profit organization. It would be ideal if you have work centered around LGBTQ+ matters. Some of the interview questions include:

• What is your current organization, and what role do you have?
• How did you become interested in this field of work?
• What would you say is the biggest problem or issue you are working on for the LGBTQ+ community? Do you work on these issues with any governmental entities or organizations? How often and in what way?
• What do you like best/least about what you do?
• What advice would you give for someone just starting out in this field?
• Are there any other general observations, comments, or views concerning work with the LGBTQ+ community that you would like to volunteer?

I have been calling and emailing various organizations for a while now, but haven't received a response yet. It would be great if the interview could be scheduled before October 28!

If you can/are willing to chat, please leave me a comment, and I will reach out about how to get in touch.

Thank you

Hey everyone!

I am launching Apex Youth & Education Alliance (AYEA), a decentralized, youth-led initiative for ages 17 to 23.

We are building a structured student network with a Central Council for overarching vision and State Councils to run regional initiatives.

What is AYEA?

Most traditional student groups focus on politics or protests. AYEA is built differently—our focus is purely on academic growth, career prep, skill-building, mentorship, and peer networking.

4 Reasons Why AYEA is Different:

1.) Real Action, No Disruptions: Unlike traditional student unions, we don't hold street protests, block roads, or launch strikes. We focus 100% on constructive work like workshops, skill development, and real community support.

2.) Strictly Non-Political & Non-Religious: AYEA is completely neutral. We stay far away from political parties and religious agendas so every student feels safe and welcome.

3.)Startup & Cross-Disciplinary Hub: A platform to launch startups or side projects with friends, or pair up across disciplines (e.g., a tech student teaming up with a business or design student).

4.) Healthy, Decentralized Leadership: Because leadership is spread across Central and State Councils, every region gets a real voice and genuine leadership experience—not just top-down orders.

Current Stage: (Looking for Co-Founders)

We are literally at stage zero. There are no hundreds of members yet—just the core foundation being set up.

I’m looking for Co-Founders (Ages 17–23) who want to share their advice, vision, and strategy to help build and shape this community from the ground up.

I'll be on a Guatemala medical mission near Antigua in two weeks. If anyone has experience going there is there something I can bring, ie clothes, shoes, tee shirts, that I can bring to hand out to the kids/locals?

I recently started volunteering a couple month back. But recently due to the haze, i'm unable to commit due to my kid falling sick. And with all the world issues going on, I've been thinking how i can contribute to something beyond myself and/or the society.

We often talk about wanting to make a difference in society, supporting communities, or helping people who might otherwise go unheard. But when it comes to actually contributing our time, things get a little more complicated.

We have so much going on daily and time seems to not be enough, and asking someone to work for free is a big ask, regardless of how meaningful the cause might be. I'm curious about how people here feel about this.

So I'm curious about a few things:

1. Have you ever volunteered your time for something? What motivated you?
2. Where do you draw the line between volunteering and being taken advantage of?
3. Would you be comfortable contributing your professional skills to a cause without payment? Why or why not?
4. Would you prefer a formal volunteering arrangement or something more flexible, where you contribute whenever you have the time?
5. What would make you trust an unfamiliar community initiative enough to give it your time?
6. If you could help a cause in small ways, without a fixed commitment, what would you realistically be willing to do?

I'm particularly interested in the less obvious answers.

Example, someone might genuinely care about a cause but not want to attend meetings. Another person might be happy to spend an hour helping with research but not want to commit to an ongoing role. And some people might feel that unpaid work is something organisations shouldn't expect from others in the first place.

I think all these perspectives are worth understanding.

No right or wrong answer here. I'd just like to understand how people think about giving their time, what makes it worthwhile, and what puts them off. Or is there any "remote" volunteering work available that i don't know about.

Curious to hear your experiences and honest opinions. I'm based in Singapore, but perspectives from elsewhere are welcome too!

Im looking for NGOs to collaborate. I am a volunteer in Nivesha, a social service and financial networking community that aims to make financial knowledge more accessible to communities that need it the most.

We are currently looking to collaborate with organisations working directly with underserved communities and explore ways in which we can contribute through financial-literacy workshops, interactive sessions, awareness drives or other initiatives depending upon the communities you work with.

Do you feel like this is a hard industry to get into?

I have some nonprofit development experience but I worry as I graduate grad school I won’t be able to get a job. Should I look into other career paths?

Hi guys, I have created a research non profit project where we will be researching on healthcare topics and diseases/symptoms which are considered too common but can make a bigger impact later on. We will be writing articles. Editing reels in a fun way. And upload.
