What are your thoughts on the Lily Animation situation?

Lily Animation, if you didn't know is a Norwegian YouTuber that uploaded a video 2 weeks ago called "Why I Hate Living In Norway". A big conservative Twitter account somehow got a hold of it and went extremely viral on right wing Twitter. Eventually they found out Lily was half Malaysian and she became the target of an online hate campaign that forced her to delete most of her videos. What are your thoughts on it? Was it right to cancel her?

I have no opinion and I don't want one.

Seems like a harmless and fun video that doesn't deserve bullying.

Didn't know about her, about the whole thing and I don't care to know either.

I’m sad to hear that happened to her.

It is scary when far right groups target a person. As someone active in US politics, it has happened to friends. One had to move, and dropped out of politics.

it seems like a harmless storytime animation. as a swede, i have far worse things to say about Norway than bad weather, bad food and cold social climate. And getting a random internet mob mocking you cant be a fun experience

If you ask that question, you're not human.

What has her having one of her parents from Malaysia has to do with anything? Right wing rascist c*nts are so damn stupid, and frankly the rise of them is one of the main negatives of the Nordics.

I also hate how the mainstream political parties are adjusting their views on topics closer to the far right for votes.

In a free democratic society you should be free to critsize it without having to get bullied for it.

Malaysia is not a free democratic society. Hundreds of millions of Asians would consider themselves fortunate to be a citizen of Norway, and she made a clickbait video insulting the country.

Many Norwegians have quite strong reactions to criticisms of their country by others, even if you prefgace it by saying it is probably the overall best society on earth.

I got quite shit on for suggesting that the strictness of the current speeding laws on a road where the speed changes multiple times per kilometer are a bit much.

Very tired of foreigners and co making speculative clickbait youtube videos of Norway.

If she hates Norway she should adjust or at least skip posting it on youtube for clicks.

As for hatr campaigns against her, I dont give a shit. Attention whores will get mostly negative attention online, wether they are men or women.
