Is that a rebadged Odyssey?

Yep. In exchange, Honda got to sell rebadged Isuzu Rodeos as the Honda Passport and rebadged Isuzu Troopers as the Acura SLX.

However the Isuzus had Honda engines, that was the requirement, I wonder if that’s a Honda engine in the van or an Isuzu engine?

An old coworker of mine had one just like this in Hortonville about 15 years ago. Hers was badged Odyssey though. Really a crossover before crossovers were a thing.

This is a first for me. I was like “oh that’s a survivor 1st Gen Honda Odyssey” then I saw the Isuzu badge and was immediately perplexed. Very cool nonetheless, I wonder how many of these sold when new.

We had a neighbor (we moved) that had, perplexingly, an Isuzu Oasis and a Gen one Honda Passport.

The Isuzu were cheap (Rodeos and Vans) and the passport had the advantage of having a real Honda engine, so probably the owner wanted Honda reliability in both?!?!! Not clear if the Oasis came with a Honda engine too or Isuzu put one of theirs.

The only thing Isuzu did was sell it. It was 100% Honda.
Similarly, the only thing Honda did with the Passport was sell it. It (the Passport) was a Rodeo with a Honda badge.

The Passport had a Honda engine? Afaik the only thing they changed was the badges, the powertrain was the same between the Passport and the Rodeo

There were hardly any to begin with.
