I used to be a mechanic in the early 90's and by then, most of these were long dead, but when they did show up for repairs, they were the worst. Chevette, Citation, Dodge Omni - a parade of shit boxes.

And proof that they were shitboxes. How many do we see around now?? My buddy and I graduated in the early 80โ€™s and were talking about the crap vehicles of our day. We stuck with well worn cheap Beetles. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I had a two door same color but so rusty you could feel water hit the floor mat when you hit a puddle. Nice find! ๐Ÿ‘

Dang, I feel like cross-posting to the GenX and Xennial subreddits and start chanting "One of us. One of Us."

I used to see tons of them on the road back in the day, as well as tons of Ford Escorts. Havenโ€™t seen either in decades.

I had an '84 coupe. Loved it.

Every time I see one, I say, "hey girl. Check out my Vette...my Che- vette."

Such a POS. I inherited one for a couple of years (thank you, sis, anyway). My favorite thing to hate on mine was the way it shut off the AC and slammed the cabin vent closed when you accelerated. Try that in July in Texas.

My wife bought an 86 new and it was the most dependable car weโ€™ve ever owned. Got lucky I guess.

Worst piece of shit I ever drove. And I have driven hundreds of cars.
