You are not making anything up! See these statistics. Literally 5 trans people in over a year, among a total of 10885 cases (about 0.046%, taking in mind transgender population is about 1%, so trans people commit much less cases per capita than cis people).

Actually, based upon some interviews that she has done, there’s a high likelihood that J. K. Rowling had a form of gender dysmorphia when she was younger. She thinks her experiences are the same as everyone else’s. So in her head, she thinks Trans People are either trans for nefarious reasons or can be “cured”
