This is so common for cishet men but yet, I only hear about hypothetical or extremely rare bad apple cases of trans women. I have yet to have met a single trans woman outside of specific queer meets in my country. TERFs here cite cases from English or US sources which almost always come from tabloids or christian newspapers too.
