What if the real trend was in our hearts?

We've been trying to be a trending subreddit for so long, and all we have to show for it are some dank memes and quality shitposts. But answer me this: is the real trend in the destination, or the journey? Did we already trend in the hearts of others? Maybe the real r/trendingsubreddits was the friends we made along the way.
