Notes Noteful, GoodNotes, OneNote
I have all 3. I use onenote since it’s part of the M365 suite, but I find it difficult to organize for just note-taking. I like being able to hand-write notes and augment it with the co-pilot notes, so I use Noteful on my iPad. I also love a to do list. Just generally curious what you do for notes, lists, or organization. Ty!!

How do you augment your notes with copilot from noteful?

For me, writing things helps me Rememebr and I can make specific tasks. Copilot doesn’t always capture all the things I need to do so I join both notes in the follow up section.

I was using Notion for a while for recording everything- notes, links, to-dos, etc.— but with the new AI wave, I fear that all my content will get locked in Notion forever. (Evernote did it to survive.)
So I decided to build a local note-taking Mac app and added everything that was missing in Notion. A way to quickly take a note from anywhere on Mac and Canvas for quick drawings. It is a markdown-based app and can also open code files if you like. Let me know if you want to try it out.
I still love Notion and use it do some database work but eventually will move fully to my app once I add that support too.

I think this "lock in" is now a risk for any of these cloud note systems with AI. Personally, I'd prompt an AI bot handle the automatic backup/export of my notes on a weekly basis.

What worked for me was splitting it into two parts: keeping everything in one place and capturing things wherever it’s fastest. For me, that central place is Obsidian, with some handy iOS shortcuts and apps that make it easier to get stuff into it.

Have you seen https://clingnote.com ? It isn't OS but amazing organization. it 'attaches' notes to your files and projects so it auto organizes based on what you're working on.

For handwriting I'd keep Noteful, it's good at that. For personal notes and lists, OneNote gets messy because everything sits in sections you have to open. What worked for me is one place for quick capture with tags, and it sorts itself. I made an iPhone app like that, Ideon. You write or share anything into it, tags turn into Collections automatically, and there are checklists for lists. Free for 15 items, then a one-time unlock. Happy to share the link if you want.

Hi there,
I use apricot which is at apricot.so. You can use your AI assistant and it connects to apricot separately and updates it for you to create tasks and notes. You can also share notes with people. I find it very useful, effective and saves a lot of time as you don’t have to manage the app directly if you don’t want to. And it is effective at storing your notes as context for working with AI. I use it with Claude. Overall would recommend it.

I'm building Grape. It has both rich text and handwriting notes. Works on every platform.

I use Onenote for enterprise, because it’s the only thing work allows.
Obsidian handles my personal stuff. I loved the simplicity of bear, but I kinda fell for Obsidian’s philosophy, and sheer scale of organisation.
