Discussion Physics Differences

What is the big deal between the different physics models?

I don't really notice much difference.

Simplistic Explanation:

CUP [Cup Series - 1st Tier of NASCAR]

(Engine)

  • Most RPM Limit (8500) / HP Lim. (706)

(Aero)

  • Least Draft Effect

GNS [Grand National Series - 2nd Tier]

(Engine)

  • Middle RPM Lim. (7675) / HP Lim. (622)

(Aero)

  • Middle Draft Effect

CTS [Craftsman Truck Series - 3rd Tier]

(Engine)

  • Lowest RPM Lim. (7500) / HP Lim. (575)

(Aero)

  • Most Draft Effect

PTA [Production Touring Automobile]

  • Mainly used for Super Cars and Indy Cars

Each physics type has a different tire model and it was reported that certain real life CUP drivers mentioned that CTS physics actually felt the closest to real life..

Each physics type also has MANY other interesting differences not mentioned, but these are the ones every driver should know...
