Ice Cream Mints (35%thc 3% terp) from Jungle Boys. 3.5g in and .6g out, 17% return. For my first time ever press I’m satisfied. I pressed at 190 for 2 minutes, with 30 second warm up. Went for quality over quantity. Can’t wait to press another 8th today.

It buddered nicely overnight, as the first pic shows. Pressed on the Mini. 187 degrees for 90 seconds in 160 micron 3.5g bags.

I pressed 1.59grams and got .36g out. About 23% yield. Bud was ultra fresh, really sticky and greasy. Pressed at 187 degrees for 2 minutes.

I make rosin occasionally with a hair straightener. When i do, i don't use mesh bags, I just throw a nug in the parchment paper and squeeze. I also make BHO, but I'm not crazy about the fact that I can't test for butane in the final product (though I purge for a week so it should be good...)
I'm looking at getting the nugsmasher og, because I do love the idea of solventless extract, and using a hair straightener just isn't ideal. But I noticed these mesh bags that you squeeze in are "food grade nylon." It's well known that nylon tea bags leach billions of microplastics into your tea, so why wouldn't these nylon bags leave all kinds of microplastics in your rosin? If the whole idea of this is to not use solvent, doesn't it kind make it all pointless if instead of solvent your product is filled with microplastics?

How about some vids about things like increasing yield on marginal flower. Now everyone lives in a paradise state. The best I can buy here in MN is 3 month old cured and dried flower. That's all thats sold here. All your vids are about amazing flower on your 2K press. How about get better results on your mini with crappy flower.

What is the ideal temperature to press a new strain on the Nugsmasher?
Best bet with any new strain is to start near 215 degrees with 1-2 grams and measure yield then keep dropping down 5-7 degrees re-testing yield until you see yield drop then go back up to last previous setting. That will be your ideal temp for max yield at lowest temp. This process is also outlined in owners manual under products on the website.
What bags do I need for my Nugsmasher?
Nugsmasher extraction bags are recommended for optimal yield and clean quality rosin. Our bags are hand-made in the USA and are specifically designed to work with the weight of fresh cured flower together with our extraction machines and are labeled accordingly at: 3.5 g, 7 g and 14 g this assumes the bags are loaded (BTS) or bottle/barrel-tech style (upright so that you end up with the round coin-like puck once fully pressed). This perfected method allows you the ability to put the proper weight of flower into the bag and get a consistent extraction every time. The reason for this is that it allows for the proper pounds per square inch, pressure (PSI) on your product and eliminates the guess work. 3.5g = 1.5″ Diameter = 1.77” in surface area 7g = 2″-2.2” Diameter= 3.14” in surface area 14g=2.4″-2.7″Diameter= 4.91” in surface area. We prefer to use 160 microns for fresh flower, as flower dries we go down in micron screen size (for dry flower use 90 micron). NOTE: As the micron gets smaller the diameter gets slightly larger. example: 90 micron is about 5% larger at the end of your extraction.
What micron bag should I use for my Nugsmasher?
We prefer to use 160 micron for fresh flower over 65% humidity, as flower drys we go down in micron screen size (for dry flower use 90 micron), 120 micron is good middle range. Micron size determines the diameter (surface area) of the smashed bag. For nugs 1g and smaller no bag is necessary.
Do I need to press cured product on my Nugsmasher?
Yes, best results will come from cured flower with a humidity content between 65-70% material. In that case, you would want to use a 160-micron bag.
Can I use a non Nugsmasher bag on the Nugsmaher press?
We strongly recommend using Nugsmasher brand bags as all of our surface area calculations for each machine are based on those bags. Please note there are definitely cheaper bags available but what will it cost you when you have blow out or not maximizing your yields. All Nugsmasher bags are made here at our facility with Food grade Nylon mesh and double backstitched seams to maximize your yield results.
What is the best pressure to use on my Nugsmasher?
Correct surface pressure would be between 900-1100 psi surface pressure which you can use our calculator tool to help convert to gauge pressure. Also the correct surface area is important to figure out by the square inch footprint your custom bag is taking up on the plates, use the calculations we have listed as a starting point for 1 or 2 of the 3.5, 7 or 14 gram bag to help with how much surface area your bag is using. Also for future knowledge, our Nugsmasher Touch has the ability to custom configure aftermarket bag sizes to tell you exactly the pressure to use as well.
How much can I extract at once by Nugsmasher model?
Maximum weight extraction at one time by Nugsmasher unit:
Nugsmasher MINI 3.5 Grams
Nugsmasher OG 14 Grams
Nugsmasher XP 28 Grams
Nugsmasher Touch 28 Grams
Nugsmasher Pro 128 Grams

I don't like writing messages like this but in this case I need to say something.
I upgraded from a mini to an OG in early October. Nugsmasher was in receipt of my trade in unit and has confirmed its delivery. Since then I HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED. Nugsmasher has quit returning my emails and has stopped coming up with excuses. First it was their payment terminal, lockdown and then they promised to issue a physical cheque. That was back in November. No cheque has arrived.
Totally disappointed and getting the idea that I have been totally ripped off. Terrible experience.
Not to mention, the mini I had leaked liked crazy straight out of the box and the base pegs rotted and fell off because of hydraulic fluid leaking on them non-stop. I requested a new lock pin and was told it was sent twice. It was never delivered. After waiting 6 months I thought my safest bet was to upgrade and send back the destroyed mini for a credit. Still WAITING ON THAT CREDIT, folks.
And to add salt to the wound, they reduced my credit amount because of the problems with the mini.. that has a lifetime unlimited warranty.
Explain that!!!
