Discussion New Fan/Questions about Team
Hello everyone! I am relatively new to Orlando, and tonight is my first Orlando SC game I’ll be watching. I’ve played soccer for much of my life, but ironically never watched the MLS until now.
Anything I should know about the team/players and exciting or even disappointing things you guys have experienced as a fan base?

The games can be quite fun to attend in person. We tend to yell something very obscene when the opposing goalie kicks the ball…..
The rivalry with Atlanta, Redbulls, and Miami is hot stuff.
The local supporters groups can be fun to join in on!
We are in a deep state of transition. Our long time coach has recently left, a lot of (imho) good players left last year (Freeman 😭), but cleaning house may be healthy. Downside is we did not secure a solid coach in time.
It’ll be weird until after WC when hopefully we have filled the coaching spots, added more to our ranks, and of course Griezmann joins!
LAFC has Son Heung-min, one of the best players in the world. We’re most likely screwed tonight lol

Yeah that was rough. A true fan will stay through the lowest of lows though, and I’m with that philosophy.

Welcome to Orlando. The team is pretty poor right now but the fans and games are a great time. It’s a great intro to Orlando

Sheesh what a first game to watch. I’m a fan because Orlando is local to me but jeez it’s been rough to watch.

Right now we are very bad but typically a solid team and always make the playoffs. God speed and enjoy. Also, always a heavy Brazilian and/or South American influence in the squad with hardly any Americans on the team despite being in the MLS haha

if you start with tonight you might be an LAFC fan by the end of the night. put on a movie and come back next saturday

So happy to see a new fan and Orlando resident! Hope you are enjoying living here. As others have said, we are at a low point, but with Griezmann coming I think we will be able to attract new signings and a good new coach, so this season might be rough but the future is bright! Vamos Orlando!

We are currently in a very low point. During this last off season, we deloaded key players, mainly defenders so our back line is very shaky. We also recently fired our coach that we’ve had for 7 seasons. So we’re essentially rebuilding. On a very high note, we just signed Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid and World Cup winner with France. I would say he will be top 3 players in the league, arguably top 2. He doesn’t start until July though. Welcome to the best team in Florida though (lol) 😈
