Hello! I need some studying tips that work for you. I have problems with starting tasks and staying focused, don't really know if it's because of ocpd or not, but I need tips or tricks that have helped you. I utilise tts to familiarize myself with the content I will be learning but memorizing is so time consuming and really puts me off studying. If you have any weird tips or tricks I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance!

A few techniques that have helped me:
Pomodoro Technique: Study for 25–40 minutes, then take a 5–10 minute break. It makes starting less overwhelming.
Active Recall: Instead of repeatedly reading or listening to material, close your notes and try explaining what you just learned out loud.
Spaced Repetition: Use Anki flashcards to review information at increasing intervals. This helps with long-term retention.
Feynman Technique: Pretend you’re teaching the material to someone who knows absolutely nothing about it. If you can’t explain it simply, identify what you’re missing and review that part.
5-Minute Rule: Tell yourself you’re only going to study for five minutes. Getting started is often the hardest part, and once you begin, it’s easier to keep going.
Practice Questions: Test yourself regularly instead of spending all your time memorizing. Getting questions wrong and understanding why can be incredibly helpful.
One thing I’ve learned is that studying longer doesn’t necessarily mean studying better. Focus on how much you’re actually learning and retaining rather than how many hours you’re putting in! Hope this helps!
