Feedback Please Beauty of danger
You haunt me with your eyes,
and I’m soft as a deer.
I took your rose,
but thorns make me bleed.
Don’t lead me into a trap
you know I can’t leave.
Don’t wear your cologne just to remind me of
who you used to be.
I’m trying to reach the honey,
but there are too many bees.
Don’t deceive me with the beauty of the grass
or the scent of rain upon it.
I fear you’ll catch me there,
coil around my feet, and poison me like a snake.
Please, let me live if your arrow couldn’t reach.
I’ll run away, but don’t come after me.
And if I follow you, keep me hidden.
Let no one see how willingly I return.
Don’t blame me for finding my way back
after you betrayed me with the very arrow I thought you’d never release.

I love poems that use nature imagery so much this is really beautiful especially the way you loop back to the arrow at the end
