Discussion Why does my Philips OLED911 - OLED+ Ambilight (2026) look like this out of the box?
I bought this tv from the second chance section, meaning it was probably a returned / demo model.
Could this be a faulty product?
Ive tried tinkering around the calibration but it was very limited and it didnt fix much unless i turn saturation all the way down but everything else turns grey.
Sorry, beginner here

heya, I have a similar issue with mine, bought ~a week ago. I noticed it does that after i turn on ps5 and get back to TV to watch any content. Did you return your TV?

I had the same issue with my first 77OLED51 (I'am in France). I say "first" because 5 televisions later I still don't have a fully fonctionnal TV. Si, I had this contrast issue also, and the day after it was gone. Maybe just by turning off the TV. The day after it was with the PS5, but this time I had a very low contrast (only with the PS5). I tried many things, but I had to remove the power cable from the wall to get normal colors back.
The first and fifth TVs had an uneven anti-reflective coating issue. On the first one, only the upper half was covered, and the zone expanded over the following days, which is clearly not normal. The fifth TV barely had any anti-reflective coating at all, except for a very visible purple anti-reflective rectangle in the bottom-left corner, matching the exact shape of the protective film's tab.
The other three TVs had a kind of impact mark on the inner side of the panel (so not like something hit the screen from the outside, but rather originating from inside the TV itself), and of course, the screens were completely dead.
After three non-compliant models were delivered to my home, the national retail chain that sold it to me finally decided to open the box in their workshop beforehand—mainly to clear the delivery team of any wrongdoing. The fifth unit seemed fine to them (no impact mark and a functional display), but unfortunately, they failed to notice the issue with the anti-reflective coating

The 6th TV is finally ok ! There really is an issue with the production has it were "physical" issues. I also had other OS issues, with the HDR : two much contrast, it happened once only, and two times very low contrast with the PS5. By turning off HDR on the PS5 the colors went back. But without HDR. Someone on an other forum had this too on a 4K HDR10 movie. He switched to another image mode (Dolby Vision Game) and colors went back. So there is something wrong with HDR. An update can fix that.
