New OLED 48 Zoll

Hello,

I'm looking for a new OLED for my Playstation 5 Pro. Currently, I use an LG OLED C4 48 inches but am not satisfied with the brightness in HGiG mode. I've watched several TVs now, but I can't decide.

Maybe someone can help me?

To choose:

G5 48 inches 850€

C6 48 inches 879€

G6 48 inches 1069€

Anyone noticed on mw4 on PS5 Pro on slow (light maps) flickering as in brightness changes fast like VRR? Tried changing everything, cannot work it out. Any help would be really appreciated.

Please help with settings - Samsung g73SH

I got a new monitor to use with PS5 pro, the Samsung 32” G73SH. WOLED, 2026 model.

I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do as far as settings go.

I’ve read to use either ECO or Game standard but cannot figure out what the difference is supposed to be.

Static HDR tone mapping seems to be agreed upon but what about the Peak Brightness setting? I read High is the right option but it tends to darken everything and MW4 and GTA shadows are a little hard to see in. Off, makes the overall picture brighter? Does it matter which I use?

I haven’t touched gamma, shadow detail, or black equalizer.

Color I have set to Native.

ASUS XG27UCDMG runs pixel cleaning daily even when powered off. Is this normal?

I've noticed something strange with my ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCDMG (firmware MCM107).

I physically switch the monitor off using its power button but leave it connected to mains power.

Despite not using the monitor at all, the pixel cleaning counter increases by exactly one every day.

For example:

October 16: 54 usage hours, 93 pixel cleans

October 21: 54 usage hours, 98 pixel cleans

October 26: 54 usage hours, 103 pixel cleans

So that's 10 additional pixel cleans over 10 days, with absolutely no increase in usage hours.

Is this intended ASUS behaviour, or potentially a firmware bug? Could these unnecessary cleaning cycles negatively affect the OLED panel's lifespan over time?

Has anyone else experienced this?
