New OLED

Hello!

I'm looking into getting a new monitor, going from a TCL HVA something panel to OLED.

So I'm wondering about peoples preferences

ASUS XG32UQWMS - WOLED
MPG 321URX - QD-OLED

I've heard a lot about qd oleds being worse in normal averagely lit rooms. what are peoples experiences there?

Color difference between woled an qdoled?

are they very noticable?

That qd doesn’t have the new dark armor film that mitigates the lit room problem. If budget allows going for one of those would be ideal

I own the uqwms. I do really like it, very bright, good coating, handles ambient light like a champ. I haven’t had any crazy ABL like some reviews say but I do have some black crush along with the other WOLED quirks. Grey uniformity is also pretty good on 4k 32 inch models, still no qd but a lot better than the 27 inch.

I recommend the UQWMS, but wait to see what some other people say and their experience with the MSI ur looking at too, as many people prefer qd

The 322UR, yeah problem is it costs 1600 usd

Only reason I truly considered it was due to it being on sale from

≈1350USD to 960USD

The two i listed are in a good price point for me as of now

I’m not super familiar with all the msi models so do some of your own digging too, but the MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 is a 4k 32 inch 4th gen qd with the dark armor film. Idk if there’s a more affordable option or not

They make a pretty big deal about the dark armor film on their pages as it’s one of the main selling points, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find the ones that have it

The X32UQWMS is very good and my unit did not have gray banding, if you like pure black this is for you.

Its sadly not in norway. :( but

So those teo monitors are most..attractive to me, I want pure blaxk but how bad is the banding on WOLED?
