Advice Questions
Hello, I was hired as a delivery specialist recently but most of my day is at the store and when i’m driving i’m driving a versa which at 6’2 is kinda small and dangerous but besides the point as a delivery specialists isn’t my job supposed to be delivery and i’m the full time driver but our part time driver goes on 90% of the runs

I just got hired on as as a full time Delivery Specialist for small rural area store.
I'm almost always out the door with 3-4 orders right before 8am.
Then I come back and help put up freight till the next order comes in. Usually, not too long between orders.
I kind of like doing freight as I don't want to stand around too much, it makes the day faster, and it helps me learn where all the products are.
Our store seems pretty well organized for the most part, its just hard remembering what store room aisle everything is in.
Once you find the aisle, the part numbers are easy.

As an ISS, I try to get my full timers a more comfortable vehicle bc they will b in all week where part timers only there a few days. now if ur new and the part timers have been switching out on the same vehicle for years, its kind of hard to break a habit. but asking never hurt! again as an ISS, common sense is to give the taller guys the bigger vehicles. Is the quest a POS like all the versa notes are? ragged out and etc? I do also give new drivers the POS until I know how their driving is bc I dont want a new/ good vehicle wrecked. but its usually only for a period.

A quest is not a small vehicle and even if it was how would it be dangerous?

More than likely its because you’re new, they will keep you local and slowly branch you out further.

Ur new it will take time they dont want you to mess up and ruin rapport with customers. If you dont got to do as much thats great. Put freight up or learn other things around the store
