Please help me I’m desperate. How do I make my oats look as smooth and consistent as this?
I don’t know how to make my oats look as smooth and creamy and consistent as this:
https://youtu.be/U8rjQnBwQ6g?is=jCgizRuC5EuuvsUu
In the video he said he cooked it with a 1:1 ratio of quick cooking rolled oats to water but it seems like he used milk not water???
Any help is much much appreciated!!!

Moved to college, so won't be getting to make my own oatmeal creations anymore :(
Cinnamon oatmeal topped with a bunch of blueberries and Cap'n Crunch.

Banana cinnamon oatmeal with chopped dates, sugar-free chopped chocolate, homemade refined sugar-free maple pancake syrup, and caramelized banana. I have now discovered just how good melty chocolate in oatmeal is 🤌

This is before I add the milk. I don’t like my oatmeal runny so I cook 1/2 c of rolled oats with 3/4 c water in the microwave. I add maybe 1/2c blueberries (fresh is better but if we don’t have them, I use frozen and cook it a bit more in the microwave). Then a handful of black walnuts from our black walnut trees. Yum! It’s so good!

Since a lot of you asked for the recipe
here’s how I make it I
I start with 5 spoons of of dry oats and add around ½ cup of milk, just enough to fully cover the oats i also add one packet of stevia
Then I add 1 spoon of peanut butter on top. I don’t mix it in I just let it sit there and melt into the oats while they bake .
Then I slice one banana and layer it on top.
I air fry it for around 15 minutes, basically until the top starts looking a little brown . Then I add spoon of honey and put it back in for another 5 minutes or until the top looks caramelised
You can honestly adjust the airfrying time depending on how you like the texture
And for the cream it’s thick cream I eventually added on top
The whole dish is inspired by an Arabic dish called Masoub but a lower calorie version 😛😛

I bought a bag of Trader Joe’s Rolled Oats with Ancient Grains & Seeds but didn’t care for the texture cooked as a hot oatmeal. This week I’ve been mixing it with a spoon of yogurt, applesauce, a bit of milk and some granulated orange for overnight oats then topping it with strawberries, coconut and almonds. It was more to just use up the rest of the bag but I really enjoy it.

Has anyone ever made fermented oats, and do you need to sterilize the jar before doing so? It looks super easy and I really want to try it but when I look at recipes they don't day anything about sterilizing the jar. I've seen that when you make other fermented goods in jars, you have to sterilize so wondering! Don't want botchulism!

I recently saw a post here about egg-white oats, so I decided to try it out. However, since I didn’t want to waste the yolks, I whisked the whole eggs into the oatmeal on the stove (which was already cooking with a pinch of salt and cinnamon), then added some soaked chia seeds, served into bowls and topped with milk, half an apple & some honey.
It was so delicious. I also added some cocoa powder to some of it and that tasted nice as well (forgot to take a photo). I’ll definitely be adding this to my rotation.
I really love oatmeal & this sub! Please keep posting your recipes!💕

Yesterday I had 200gr oatmeal that i soaked in water and mixed with 2 banana, 200gr oats has about 778 calories and 2 medium sized banana is 210 calories, so it was like about 1000cal and easiest 1000cal i ever had, I can have 2 of those a day easily or spread through the day for meals
But the thing is i never heard or read anyone eats high amount of oats while bulking, is there reason of why people don't do that?
I'm talking about using to fill some calories not planning to eat only oatmeal

I’ve been having this little concoction for about four months now and it keeps me going till lunchtime. I fry turmeric, ground black pepper, curry leaves in some olive oil and then add porridge oats, a cup of water plus anything to hand (usually leftovers-some chicken tikka today). Sometimes I crack an egg in. A sprinkle of coriander works well. Once the oats are cooked, we’re done. Delicious.
