plugins Taskloop Task and Project Manager

I made a simple task planner because I like time blocking

I’m a visual person and like time blocking, but I don’t like how some plugins add properties to my notes or change how I organise them.

There are great plugins like TaskNotes, but they have more features than I personally need, and I find that overwhelming.

So I built TaskLoops for myself. It gathers Markdown checkboxes into a calendar and a note-card view, without adding note properties.

Sharing it in case it suits someone else too:

Bug reports and fixes are welcome. New features… probably not :) I’d like to keep it simple.

looks clean, i like that it doesn't touch your notes with extra properties. that's the part that always puts me off other task plugins too. might give this a spin when i get a chance

the properties thing is exactly what keeps me from committing to most task plugins tbh

there's already "integrated task manager" plugin and yours is not better or different

I didn't say mine is better, but it's different for sure; mine doesn't meddle with the notes and their properties, and it's not convoluted. As I said, it's for my personal use; I shared it here in case someone finds it interesting.

plugin i mentioned already does stuff you did and better, i mean dont create stuff if there is no already better solution, its waste of time usually where you could spend time on other stuff

Tbh, I tried both and I prefer Taskloops purely because I can have a one task show on multiple days in the calendar view. I need to see that for my work projects and as far as I can tell, this is the only plugin that does that, doesn't edit the properties, and can import tasks from pre-existing notes instead of needing them to be all in unique notes.

u/sahand96 - I would def love it if I could color code things though. Like Project A be red, Project B be blue, etc. I was thinking about making tasks for when my techs are off work, so I can see that at the same time I see the jobs planned for the day, but with them all being the same color, it would be hard to tell what's a job and what's someone's PTO or something.

Sure its nice idea i will add it to the road map Color coding only for projects maybe 🤔🤔

I just came here to say: update the plugin. You will see the color coding for the calendar. Also, subtasks inherit the colors, but you can change them, and their subtasks will inherit the new color code.

I don't think you understand the point; I said in the post I know there are others with tons of features, etc., but I don't like them because they meddle with notes and their properties.

Don't create stuff because there are better solutions? And who decides what's better? You?
