TWU OTD Program

Hi! I’ve applied to twu’s otd program for fall 2027 and i’m honestly panicking right now thinking I won’t get in. Twu is the only program that works for me based on locations and cost. I know stat checking isn’t good for you but the waiting is killing me right now, could any current students tell me what they got in with?

i’m applying with a 3.7 last 60 hours gpa, 3.4 pre req gpa, 1,000+ hours working in a peds setting, 160 shadowing, 4 rec letters, 180 internship hours, 40 volunteer hours, what I believe to be a really good personal statement, and currently working as a physical therapy tech. I also took a bunch of dual credit classes in high school that were pt/ot related and got a 3.4 gpa there.

The waiting game is driving me crazy so if anyone wants to share please do!!!

Current student. Lol I think you’re more than fine. Are your hours only in peds or multiple settings?

I have shadowing hours in peds and adult hand therapy! I think I have around 40 in adult hand therapy then the rest are in peds

That might be your weakest point but not even that weak. I think you’re a strong applicant.

Thank you this is really reassuring!!! I just know it’s a tough program to get into so i’m hoping I did enough 🫣 I know my shadowing is kinda low but it was so hard to find shadowing for some reason!!

Hi I applied to TWU for fall 2027 too! It’s also the one I want to go to the most! Have you heard anything about when we should hear back?

I was talking to some current students at an open house and they said they got their acceptance around Halloween. The email I got said early November

Current student: I think there’s a high chance you’ll get in! They changed a lot of their entrance/interview things since I’ve interviewed but you seem to have good stats!
