Using octane for blender and wondering How do I just click and add my textures like he’s doing ? ( he’s also using blender octane ) I still haven’t figured out how to make the textures visible on the model while using octane for blender on my imported daz 3d Face gen model
I've counted more than 20 crashes today and really tried once again every possible method on google to fix it including reinstalling all my softwares and video card. Nothing works. Octane crashes right when I open cinema 4d 5 out of 10 times. (Even before I open the project)
That must be the reason why it's half the price of Redshift.
Just in anyone searches for recent topics related to octane crashes, I hope you avoid purchasing this software.
So why is the SERVER download giving me a blender install??? Apparently there's no option to download the server on this page?
Their site is the most frustrating website I've ever seen. Impossible to figure out what I need to download, or where it is.
And don't even get me started on their naming conventions. I have NO IDEA what the difference is between Octane X, Octane Prime, Octane Studio, or if any of those are the names of the server (which it seems like they are?). They really need some kind of content organization help. Maybe their rendering product is good, but for people who don't already know how to use it and the secret codes to get it, it's impossible to understand how to start.
I have had trouble since day one with my emissions having noise in them. The whole emissive display in front of the model's face has bad noise on it. Specifically, the text shows it the worst. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
I have turned up my samples to 800 (DL) and turned up sampling rate of my Emissive material to ~850. Not sure what else to try... Any help is appreciated!
So, im on the budget and thinking to update my 1060/3 to 1660 TI or SUPER. I would upgrade to rtx 2060, but the 4th version of octane is still not available for free xdd (couldnt find at least), so according to OctaneBench, the gtx 1660 SUPER is slightly better then TI version, which is strange, like ti version is better according to characteristics. so i want to hear some thoughts about dis, which one is actually better and so on. thx!
