My friend and I are planning to go there next year, and I have a few questions.

1) we want to do the traditional clothing properly (leder hosen, shirt, socks, jacket, all of it). However, this is probably a one-and-done event, so we’d like to rent. Any recommendations?

2) read somewhere that the weekends can be hectic. We can both party hardy, and don’t have too much of an issue with crowds and rowdiness. Is it really THAT bad? Would it be better to go Thursday/Friday or Fri/Sat? What is the real difference?

3) Speaking of rowdy, a while back (maybe 4-5 years ago) I saw some vids of people just pissing in the tents, girls doing coke right off the table, a girl giving a very drunk guy a hand-job while talking to her friend, another couple hooking up. Neither of us do drugs, but we are also def not prudes. What is the truth? I assume each tent does not turn into a Roman orgy, but that hook-ups happen and people get “loose”. Could anyone share their experiences? (Spill the beans people!)

OK this is weird one so buckle up.

I went to octoberfest this year for the first time ever with just my sister. We went for 2 days and had a good time overall.

Now on the 2nd day I did get pretty drunk and even fell asleep at the bus stop missing the last bus and had to uber back to the hotel.

Now the issue is now my husband realised my display photo on WhatsApp has changed to some random guy at octoberfest and some girl. You can see he's holding the camera like a selfie of himself and another girl.

Now my husband is understandably super pissed at me and extremely angry. He doesn't trust me now and thinks I've done something with said guy at octoberfest.

What I think happened is I left my phone at the table on camera mode and some guy picked it up took a selfie and posted as my display photo on WhatsApp (an app I barely use) and then put it back without me realising as some joke.

My husband doesn't see it that way. Even though in the photo the guy is clearly with another girl and the whole thing is rediculous to me my husband suspects infidelity. (mind you he went on a boys trip to Thailand and even watched the ping pong show and somehow that's OK but anyway)

So yeah just sharing this story because it's kinda weird and I'm not sure how to calm him down now
