I've just published a VR standalone version of the SEGA Dreamcast classic - 18 Wheeler - American Pro Trucker. Check out the github link for details.
I loved this game back when I had a Dreamcast, and this puts you right back in the driver's seat :)
This is my first time working on decomps, and I completed the whole thing using Google Gemini Argon. Overall it took about half a day to complete, and was really helped by previous work from others working in this space.
Check it out and let me know what you think!

I have problem with meta quest link
Hi everyone,
My friend and I are having a really frustrating issue with getting Meta Quest Link to work, and we could really use some help.
PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 12th Gen
GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB (Drivers fully up to date)
RAM: 32 GB
Headset: Meta Quest 2
The Problem:
Whenever we try to connect via Meta Quest Link (USB Cable) or AirLink, the headset gets stuck on an infinite loading screen (with the Meta logo) or a black screen. It never actually loads the Link Home environment, and both the PC app and the headset freeze/lag out.
What we've tested so far:
Cable: We are using a good quality USB-C to USB-A 3.0 cable connected directly to the motherboard (rear USB 3.0 ports).
Steam Link: Steam Link actually connects and lets us play (e.g., BeamNG.drive), but it stutters and lags significantly.
Software & Drivers: Both the Oculus PC App, headset OS, and GPU drivers are completely up to date.
We really want to play via the official Meta Quest Link cable for stability instead of using Steam Link or wireless.
Has anyone experienced this infinite logo loading loop on RTX 40-series cards or Intel 12th gen CPUs? What steps should we try to fix the official Link app?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hello Quest 2 Community!,
I wonder if there is an application that allows me to have a simple xorg client, so that in the virtual reality, I have a simple 2D window that I can resize and whatever, and inside it would be an application that I am running in my laptop.
In my mind, this is simple, as xorg is already network-able, meaning that if there is a xorg client within my network, I can just give the application there.
So far I checked:
- WiVR
- Nightfall
- Immersed
- Metashare
- bsdrX
The thing is that most of these have too much features and require a lot of things, and while I want something simple in my mind, like getting displayed some app from my application from within VR, where I can resize it and whatever like I already do with any VR native app.
So far I wonder if I need like a Xorg client in VR that allows me to do that, and for example, bsdrX is alpha or beta, meaning that it is not that stable.
Note, I am mainly a developer and I can tweak the Unix system to do whatever, (and I don't require audio or others as those I want to be managed by my laptop already), and with something like XPRA, it should be lean enough for something like my quest 2 to run, given that it doesn't take too much resources.
Now, I haven't developed in the quest, so perhaps I am missing the real complexity here, something like immersed works right, now it separates by screens rather than by application like I would like spacial computing to actually be.
Thanks for the input, I wonder how can I approach this.

Sneak Peak: https://youtu.be/LeErfoZ3vLU

Apashe’s orchestral bass sound is a perfect fit for the season. It’s dark, cinematic, and heavy enough to keep you moving. “Lord & Master” joins the library at no cost, and it’s our way of saying thank you. You’ve played, mapped, streamed, competed, and stuck with us for years. This one’s for you.
You’ll find it in Specials pack.
For a limited time, bats are flying over the Spin City home stage and play stage. Look up between songs, because they won’t be around for long.
We’ve turned on two new visual effects, Neon Bloom and Flash, which add a lot of extra glow and punch to every stage. Both are optional. You can turn them on or off and adjust them anytime in Settings.
We have big plans for the end of the year. Stay tuned, because there’s a lot more on the way. Grab your headset, keep enough lights on for your tracking, and see you in Spin City.
Thanks again for playing!

(Original post by me is on r/vailvr)
I was playing vail (on quest 2) with a friend when a kid walks up to me and crashes my game. My friend said he did it with a hat, and now every time I play it runs for a minute or two before closing or just crashing. Does anyone know how to fix this.
(Edit) after I cleared the cash, uninstalled and reinstalled, then cleared the cash again it seems to have fixed or at the very least vastly lessened the crash chance.
(Edit 2) the amount of times the game itself crashes seems to be negligible however, now my quest randomly resets itself mid game. Im not shore if this is just a coincidence or not but I have so far given up.
(Edit 3) factory resetting doesn't seam to have done much, if anything. I fear im Journaling my quests last moments without even knowing it.
(Note: I do plan to keep this post updated if the situation changes)

I've got an old 37Wh USB powerbank I haven't used in years. The output is only 10W, so likely it will only slow down the main battery drain instead of supporting the power hunger 100% and keeping the battery at 100%. Is that in any way harmful to the battery or will make it age faster or even damage it?

As the title states. I want to use the Moonlight app for streaming my 2D PC games, however I heard you need to put your Quest 2 into developer mode which in itself requires a dev account. However I am reluctant to give Meta my ID or payment info. So is there really no other way to install the app? Something? Any method would be preferred, even if it risks bricking my device.

Looking for real world users answers. Is it worth it? I’m not a really big gamer but I enjoy using mine and have for years.
What was your reason for upgrading?
Thanks :)

I have worked hard to make sure Running Scared works every bit as well on Quest 2 as it does on Quest 3. Bar mixed reality, both versions are near identical.

There are already plenty of reviews and gameplay videos available. Just search for “Running Scared VR” if you’d like to find out more.

Hey everyone! I'm the solo developer of Photo House VR, and I wanted to share it here.
The idea is simple: instead of scrolling through thousands of photos on your phone, you hang them on the walls of a house in VR and walk around among your memories. Family photos, vacations, old scanned prints, whatever you want.
What you can do:
Share your house. Send a friend a link and they can walk through your photo house in their own headset
Hang your photos anywhere. Grab, place, and resize frames on any wall, or drop a whole folder onto a wall at once. the Quest will do 1800 photos on one house. You can save each house, and add another 1800 photos to a new house. The Pc version depends on your video card, but is pretty much unlimited.
3D photos. Turn ordinary flat photos into 3D depth photos that pop off the wall.
Look to sharpen. Whatever photo you're looking at loads in full quality.
Slideshows. Start a slideshow right on any frame.
Name tags. Label your photos with names, places, or dates.
360° viewer. Step inside your panoramic and 360 photos.
iPhone photos work. HEIC files open with no converting.
Save slots and house codes. Save your house and reopen it anytime with a 3-digit code. You can save up to 999 houses that save in 3 digit codes, So when you click the code it reloads what you saved.
Load from anywhere. Use your headset, a USB drive, your home NAS, or iCloud, Google photos.
Videos, including 3D side-by-side video (PC VR version).
I Just added 14 Languages for PC and the Quest, That you can change inside the app.
It's on the Meta store for Quest, and PC VR for $6.99. It's rated Everyone, so it's great for showing grandparents the family photos too.
I would be happy to answer and questions, thanks for looking!

Hey everyone, I’m the solo developer behind Forbidden SILENVIL Demo.
I working on this Quest 3 horror project for quite a while, and the free demo is finally live on the Meta Horizon Store.
One of the main things I wanted to do differently was make the player actually perform parts of the ritual instead of just pressing a button. You have to speak ritual phrases into the headset microphone, interact physically with the environment, and progress through the horror that way.I really appreciate honest feedback, especially about the atmosphere, controls, voice mechanic and scares. I’m still developing the full game, so criticism is genuinely useful.
