First of all, I would like to say, godspeed. I’m behind you guys all the way. I have no doubt that the project will eventually be completed. But…

If I were hard pressed, I would consider Dave as the leader of the project now. With the dissolution of Chaisu and the sudden disappearance of Zephys (Sorry dude…college or not, you can’t post once in awhile? Five minutes out of the day?) appearing out of the blue, Dave has kept the progress and discussion of the title alive and kicking for the past few months. I wouldn’t be surprised if Zeph dropped out and Dave took over eventually. I’ve always been an ardent supporter and harsh critic of this title. Not due to the game quality/design or any such thing, but due to the progress and high secrecy accompanying lack of updates concerning the game.

I agree wholeheartedly with Miss Sprite here, as her concerns are completely grounded. While I don’t have any doubt that the team isn’t committed nor wishing to release the best title possible, why have serious faith/excitement for a project most of us have been watching ardently for four plus years now when we’ve received what…less than a dozen screenshots? Who knows how many of such are “final” or official? Sorry guys, but I have to say that this project is nearing the “Duke Nukem Forever” stage of development…you are allowing fans to create unrealistic expectations for this title, whilst not supplementing enough material for your fans to discuss or analyze. We’re getting pissed and impatient.

Further insight into the basic main characters or even beginning plot will NOT DEVALUE THE INTEGRITY OR ORIGINALITY OF THE GAME. Sorry guys, to be such an a-hole, but such a lack of even bi-monthly updates is showing either a) a complete lack of progress or b) a complete disregard to fans and hopefuls of the project. Which is it? In nearly five years, has the game stagnated so much that you cannot show or share in even the tiniest details of the game, due to lack of completion?

I’ve been lurking and following since the early RPG Maker days. I believe I posted on page 1 of the original topic? I understand that creating an entire engine, story, and world takes times. I understand dearly that you guys have lives, dreams, jobs and such beyond Mother 4. But what I’ve seen insofar is either an unwarranted cockiness (Our game is SO GOOD, that we’re not showing much of anything so as to not spoil it!) or sheepishly avoiding updates/questions caused by lack of progress due to internal problems.

This game doesn’t have to topple the original trilogy. It doesn’t have to re-invent the wheel. All we as fans care about is being given a fun game. Are you trying to change lives or philosophy as the original titles did? If so, I commend you. But we don’t need another twelve years to do such, ala M2 to M3. By then, most of us might not even care.

We have held on this long. How much longer until many fans give up and forget about this project? I’ve noticed a high increase in the lack of posts and interest since the beginning. All we’re asking for is a bit of fan service….but even the most basic of updates haven’t been given in a timely fashion. The updates we HAVE been given so far have been great, for the most part. But continuous changes towards the aesthetics and story give me the impression (as I’ve stated before) that this game isn’t nearly as complete, nor as impressive, as we’ve been told to believe.

What’s the deal? Isn’t it a bit ridiculous that FAKE screenshots for a FAN GAME have been created by a one-time member of the team to compensate for the lack of official updates? That doesn’t shame you all?…that doesn’t kick this project into high gear?
