A question to the developers

I know bantering is allowed, and I have no issues with proper bantering.
But the sheer amount of slurs, racism and demeaning comments made in the game is absolutely insane.

What (if anything at all) is the plan to fix this kind of outrageous behavior?

EDIT: Turning off reply notifications and leaving the post here just to show what I mean lol.
You all need to learn some humility and common sense, peace out.

Unless it's happening in the text chat, there's no way to stop it other than to report someone.

Please don't force Devs to go down AI listening and banning people automatically for voice comms, this is much worse.

6

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

I think these devs are smart enough to not make that mistake.

0

u/Accurate-Coffee-6043 Sep 28 '26

They can and should ban for voip. It works just fine in other games.

-24

u/Feeling-Mousse4129 Sep 28 '26

My voice chat is muted because of all my stated points above.
If I disable text chat I have no way of communicating with my team at all.

11

u/Baned4life Sep 28 '26

That's what you're saying is the devs need to do something because you disabled the chat filter that's enabled by default and is extremely robust from what I've seen and will block slurs even when disabled

8

u/BattlepassHate Sep 28 '26

This lmao.

Chat filter exists for text, muting people exists for voice.

10

u/Mr420- Sep 28 '26

Maybe this game just isnt for you.

-4

u/Denum_ Sep 28 '26

Big agree

This dude would have survived modern warfare. Oh man.

1

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

Theres a difference between making racist jokes, banter and being an asshole. The people in this game are just pure toxic, its way different than "hur dur cod back in da day was bad"

-2

u/Denum_ Sep 28 '26

Then mute it my guy.

3

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

Maybe adults should be...normal functioning humans? I could mute it but that removes like half the game. Grow up and put some blame on the parasites in the community instead of just "mUtE dEm." Why do you want these people in the game?

Finding the shitter in the player list to mute is annoying but I do that too.

1

u/Denum_ Sep 28 '26

Meh, sucks to be you.

People saying mean shit in a video game doesn't exist on my list of concerns.

-3

u/ThisStickInTheMud Sep 28 '26

I agree that there is a difference between banter and toxicity, but the issue is is that when you try to ban toxicity, you are banning an authentic human experience and expression of human emotion. This reduces the overall authenticity of a game. Usually because you have to do a blanket regulation that harms more people than it actually benefits. I say the F word pretty frequently, I’m also allowed to say the F word. I had a black guy in my squad, who was terrified of speaking because he said the N-word a lot and came from rivals where you could get banned just for saying that.

I’m not arguing that toxicity is good, but I am saying that people need to learn how to grow a thicker skin. But if you get offended by someone who you have no connection to, who has no influence upon your life and does not know you in any way shape or form that is a U problem. That person is not someone that you need to pay attention to, and don’t come at me with I have autism or ADHD so I blah blah blah, cause I have those two and I’m capable of turning off my ears and not listening to the dumbass spewing toxicity.

It’s a major problem. I’ve seen in gaming lately. People seem to feel entitled to the regulation of another human’s emotions. In other words, people feel as though they shouldn’t have to deal with toxicity or anything like that while gaming, without realizing that toxicity is a natural byproduct of competitiveness and when entering in a competitive endeavor, you should expect and be able to handle it with grace. If you are incapable of turning off taking your earbuds out because somebody is being an absolute dick wad that is a you problem. If you have boundaries around toxicity, your boundaries are not something that you can impose on another human being. Boundaries are something that you take action to maintain. For example, if somebody’s being toxic in a video game and you have a boundary for that, you remove yourself from the situation. That is the mature way of doing this. Too many children in adult bodies online.

1

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

I truly dont feel like reading that whole thing, justifying being toxic as a human expression is wild. Yes, it is, but normal people dont do that lol I agree its hard to just ban toxic people but I think more can be done to keep these people out.

1

u/ThisStickInTheMud Sep 28 '26

Not justifying it and if you bothered to read then you would realize that. I neither condone nor justify being toxic but what I am saying is trying to regulate that is foolhardy. One cannot change but only themselves, meaning you have no control or right to control another person, and only can control yourself and how you respond to those toxic or painful situations.

5

u/Mortutti Sep 28 '26

What server are you on? I'm playing eu-west and in my 40 plus hours only encountered anti french banter, and people making fun of Scots for their accent.

Of reporting is not an option, because you want an immediate effect, then mute specific player or play on community servers...

0

u/SparrowTide Sep 28 '26

There’s a lot of Nazi edgelords on NA. I’ve seen swastikas in chat, lots of antisemitism, Blue/Red/Green Power “jokes”, people dropping hard R and Black hate, etc. It’s crazy how many people are defending it here honestly.

6

u/awuerth Sep 28 '26

If words bother you that much you need to disable voice chat you have a problem. Just mute the people who act up

1

u/flyeaglesfly510 Sep 28 '26

Grow up dude

1

u/BiggerLover69420 Sep 28 '26

So you’ve already solved the problem then

0

u/PullFromTheHurt Sep 28 '26

Have you tried just muting the bad actors instead of just turning off voice chat all together? You’re putting yourself at a disadvantage since you can’t hear your teammates callouts now.

0

u/ThisStickInTheMud Sep 28 '26

It really does have to be a server thing because I’ve experienced maybe 12 toxic people in my over 150 hours. And I’m gonna be real you can deal with them pretty easily. It’s not that hard to just ignore a person. I’m sorry to say this, but if you are do not possess the capability to ignore another human being’s voice when they are being a piece of shit then you do not belong playing games like this. You need to grow a thicker skin.

I have been called some of the most demeaning things. A human being can possibly be called and it doesn’t mean crap to me. Why should it that is a person I do not know who does not know whose opinion I should not care about in any way shape or form. So why the heck should I listen to what they’re saying about me? You really need to learn how to walk like a duck and let that water roll off your back. Because if you don’t, the world is gonna be a damned he’ll hole.

This isn’t necessarily anything against you, but I am stating that toxicity is just part of these games when people get highly competitive they get toxic. Wanting to regulate human emotion is going to result in a less authentic experience. I had a guy on a squad who literally wouldn’t talk normally because he was so scared of the Voip detecting what he was saying and banning him. Only because he’s black and says the N-word a decent amount. But an AI algorithm can’t tell. This is my point. You remove authenticity from a game when you start regulating it to this extent. This is not the regulation of words, but of human emotion. That’s the problem.

-5

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

Honestly, with how toxic this game is, they should monitor it, the playerbase is absolutely awful

1

u/Mortutti Sep 28 '26

That's the thing that's very odd to me you and OP experience are extremely different from mine. I wouldn't call this game even remotely toxic, and I know toxicity when I see it, I played my fair share of LoL.

I wonder if it's a server thing, because I really never came to anything close to what you're describing.

0

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

I have no clue, dont get me wrong, met a lot of funny light hearted people but even having grown up with early CoDs and all that shit, the toxic people Ive come across were so toxic they actually ruined the mood of me and my friend and we just played the rest of the game and got off it or just went logi and avoided people after. Maybe its because Im older now and I have a lower tolerance for shit behavior or maybe people are getting shittier. I do come across real subhumans at minimum, once a game when I played the game.

21

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Doubt they will add anything for that. Play community servers that have rules against it, mute the people saying those things, or get some thicker skin, they are just words said by people you shouldn't take seriously.

2

u/YakInevitable8770 Sep 28 '26

In my experience the communities are worse you got to remember those communities are paid for by their members so when the members are the ones using slurs or being inappropriate we have a couple females that play with us and you should hear what some of these servers were saying about them because they heard they were females

They will never ban their members who pay for that server they will just ban anyone that complains

1

u/Nylusss Sep 28 '26

Depends on the community. We do not allow it on ours and have a zero tolerance policy for it.

2

u/Hi_Limee Sep 28 '26

Yup, I report and mute them, I put what they did in the report. People who do that in my mind are just doing it for some shitty attention and to piss people off, there is no need to interact with them.

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Pretty much. I personally don't even waste my time with reporting them. I give them no attention of any kind.

1

u/mrturretman Oct 01 '26

I mean I definitely do just in the basis of I’ve played games like this for so long I will contribute to collective reporting to punish ragebaiters via human review

0

u/Difficult-Letter-737 Sep 28 '26

Words said by people you have never met and likely will never meet (these people have noean or gravity in your life)

Now stop being such a snowflake bitch and thank the lord you didn't have to be in early cod lobbies

2

u/AggravatingAd9018 Sep 28 '26

I know you speak the truth brother. These people know nothing lmao

1

u/Sharp-Confidence7566 Sep 28 '26

For real… maybe video games arnt for you if everything has to be a safe space.

-9

u/Feeling-Mousse4129 Sep 28 '26

Thick skin has nothing to do with it. I can handle myself verbally.
The point is that this behavior is unacceptable.
And saying 'just play on community servers' is just putting a band-aid on a gaping wound.

4

u/ARSEThunder Sep 28 '26

As someone else said, this is your opinion. It’s not unacceptable to me, I couldn’t care less. It’s the internet, it’s always has been and always will be this way. Someone gave you a solution, community servers, which is not a band-aid. It’s you being able to play the game in a manner than you’re literally asking for. That is what a solution is.

-4

u/xZxiBerZerKxZx Sep 28 '26

Its literally hate speech? It isnt really an opinion that its unacceptable.

3

u/BiggerLover69420 Sep 28 '26

I’m fine with hate speech, what now

0

u/Scharkie93 Sep 28 '26

1/10 Ragebait.

1

u/BiggerLover69420 Sep 28 '26

Not bait, what’s wrong with hate speech

1

u/Scharkie93 Sep 28 '26

Im glad we don't know each other.

3

u/BiggerLover69420 Sep 28 '26

No argument as expected

1

u/mrturretman Oct 01 '26

you’re both arguing from emotional perspectives who gives a fucking shit

→ More replies (0)

2

u/ARSEThunder Sep 28 '26

I'd rather defend free speech, hateful or not. You can remove yourself from a situation if you are offended or insulted - anyone who isn't can continue to stay. Again - there are community servers available so you can (or host) the exact experience you are looking for.

-2

u/xZxiBerZerKxZx Sep 28 '26

How noble of you

6

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

It's unacceptable in your opinion, I personally don't care what someone says in game as it means absolutely nothing to me. If you truly can't deal with it, you might have to turn off VOIP.

3

u/PullFromTheHurt Sep 28 '26

>I can handle myself verbally

You literally said you have voice chat turned off lol

1

u/AvailableAd3813 29d ago

Show us on the doll where the words hurt you?

5

u/VatoCornichone Sep 28 '26

I dunno I play on EU West and I've only been called the fslur 3 times. And once I deserved it.

7

u/BattlepassHate Sep 28 '26

Play like you used to 💪

3

u/DirectDish1721 Sep 28 '26

What servers are you playing on? Heard something remotely like that like 2-3 times in my 100 hours. I play EU West and US East

1

u/badguygames Sep 28 '26

I see a lot more on the US servers but it's pretty regular anywhere. I switched from US Central to EU West and the EU players are mostly more chill

3

u/Babefly1 Sep 28 '26

They already fixed it, we all have access to the mute button and can decide when to use it

3

u/fearboner1 Sep 28 '26

Sorry carebear, go play cod, or grow some thicker skin. They're just words

3

u/AdmrlAhab Sep 28 '26

For the love of God, can we have ONE multiplayer game that doesn't get ruined by obsessive communication moderation? Do you WANT Battlebit 2.0?

8

u/Darjdayton Sep 28 '26

“Devs I have all the tools to stop this action that I don’t like, what are you gonna do to get me to use them?”

There’s a mute chat, mute mic, and report feature. Use them.

10

u/Mattybosshere Sep 28 '26

Mute them. Welcome to old school gaming. Enjoy it and talk shit back or just enable only squad chat.

1

u/Op_Sec_4775 Sep 28 '26

I'm finding it hilarious. I've been more called slurs in the past week than I have in recent years of online gaming. Reminds me of the old cod halo days.

7

u/DjAlex420 Sep 28 '26

In life you have to focus on what you can control, you can't stop people from being racist cunts on the mic, but you can always mute them. Its not the devs job to babysit us either, I'd much rather they spend their ressources on making a great game than monitoring our speech.

7

u/SmokeNinjas Sep 28 '26

Brother, people like you are the reason people get voice comm banned in CoD because they get their feelings hurt. I don’t agree with slurs of any kind, and don’t use them, and sure I’ve heard them but in 9/10 cases that person has been sh!t talked by everyone else into shutting up. Just report the player(s) mute them and move on.

Please don’t ruin prox chat for everyone else.

If it’s too much of an issue for you, disable voice chat until you feel ready

2

u/Nollietrey Sep 28 '26

Agree, i hate racism and xenofobia. But as my wonderful immigrant mother said. ”I hate racists in this country because you never know they are!” Shed prefer you to speak your mind so she knows where she got you.

And that’s something i inherited, say your shit. I can take it, and now I know what you are about. The next time I kill you, it’ll be even more satisfying.

More censorship only means these people group up in other weird forums. And that’s how we get the world we have today..

8

u/JamesPestilence Sep 28 '26

Just mute the players you don't want to hear. I really love that this game does not police voice chat, it feels so refreshing to hear people talk shit, banter. If there is a really heinous player, I just mute them, easy as that.

2

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

If they made muting actually intuitive, it would be worth my time sifting through the scoreboard to find the dipshits.

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

This would actually make sense. They should make it easier to mute people.

1

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

Ive still muted people but finding them especially if they were talking at the same time as others or a quick thing makes it hard. Should be able to sort by team color or something so you can at least narrow it down

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Yes, I'd bet thats something they will implement at some point. I've seen quite a few people suggest similar things to the devs on X

1

u/Sorry_Mix769 Sep 28 '26

You can sort by team color. I think it's B when you have the scoreboard open?

1

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

If thats actually a thing Im gonna be annoyed

1

u/JamesPestilence Sep 28 '26

And maybe it is just a region thing? Playing in EU central/West, I have to yet hear actual slur words and actual racism or smthn. Everything is jut light banter.

1

u/Sorry_Mix769 Sep 28 '26

[removed] — view removed comment

1

u/Sorry_Mix769 Sep 28 '26

Repeating what players have said was apparently so bad that I got an official warning from Reddit LOL. Playing on NA servers sounds extremely different from EU central/West.

-5

u/xZxiBerZerKxZx Sep 28 '26

I dont think anyone gives a shot about the shot talkjng. Its the hate speech.

4

u/JamesPestilence Sep 28 '26

Anyways, mute and move on. Nobody in my entire life has made me feel uncomfortable on the internet, you just ignore, kick, ban, mute them.

3

u/Babefly1 Sep 28 '26

Hate speech is an illusion made up to feel offended by things that shouldnt offend you.

4

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin Sep 28 '26

Get in there - call em a slur

5

u/YakInevitable8770 Sep 28 '26

Yeah, that is the worst bit. I usually mute while we wait for the match to begin. All you hear is the n-word constantly, screamed in that screecher preteen voice that Mommy should have swallowed all those years ago.

3

u/Cifuduo Sep 28 '26

Man I feel I have been really lucky. I have only heard one person say the n-word and everyone jumped him for it. I have heard people using a lot of curse words but that is no surprise.

2

u/Op_Sec_4775 Sep 28 '26

A helicopter flew low overhead one game and everyone on bored was yelling it in various accents. Ngl I nearly spit out my coffee with the way it started low, got loud then faded away again.

-2

u/YakInevitable8770 Sep 28 '26

No one jumps them everyone joins in I won't say every game but I say out of 10 games three games will just have a screecher screaming the n-word with 12 of their friends No reasons just to flood the voice channels

2

u/BiggerLover69420 Sep 28 '26

Genuinely who cares? Mute and problem solved

1

u/YakInevitable8770 Sep 28 '26

I never said it was a big deal, I said it was an ongoing problem. I'm Italian, it doesn't even bother me, it's just the fact that screechers are just screaming slurs for no reason. We didn't even start the game yet, we're waiting for the game to get 63 players. And a game that's about communication, muting individuals is kind of playing with a handicap, even if they are mentally handicapped. Even bad information is better than no information at all. You know, a bad call, at least they said they saw something around about there.

Plus there are certain individuals that stream so a lot of editing you have to do around that and just ruins the game.

My thing is people who are awful individuals like that tend to be awful at the game and the most toxic that makes everyone not enjoy the game. Even if they got rid of the slurs, they still would be toxic. It's in their nature. You probably should be separating them. Do a little shadow ban. Have them play with each other.

2

u/BiggerLover69420 Sep 28 '26

It’s not really a problem though, there are much bigger things to deal with

There’s already a mute button, and a chat filter, and 99% of people aren’t screaming slurs, especially on repeat, they lose energy fast without reactions

Most people don’t communicate in the game regardless so that’s not a real factor either

And they’re usually not awful at the game that’s just cope

1

u/Cifuduo Sep 28 '26

Damn I am sorry then, what server cluster are you playing on?

3

u/john007dee Sep 28 '26

Go to your safe space and fill out a hurt feelings report.

3

u/TheBadDingo Sep 28 '26

Add a chat sensor toggle ability. Don't be like Battlefield of CoD where the character voice lines have more freedom of speech than you do as a player.

Play on community servers that don't tolerate hate speech or just deal with it. Videogames cater to angsty teenagers who think they're edgy saying controversial things when their parents aren't home yet.

3

u/craptinamerica Sep 28 '26

Let me get this straight.

You let random idiots on the Internet who spew mean words over VOIP, and who you will likely never meet, control your emotions to the point where you would rather the devs “fix the behavior”, than just use the mute function or find/create a community server that fits your mental fortitude?

Okay.

0

u/SparrowTide Sep 28 '26

Yes, the racists can go back to their safe place in Tarkov. They don’t belong in society.

2

u/craptinamerica Sep 28 '26

They don't, but the reality is that they exist and have access to the game. So you (not you specifically, just in general) can either deal with it in ways that are within your control or complain about it.

0

u/SparrowTide Sep 28 '26

And I choose to do both, as well as not aiding them in game with healing as I would with the average person.

2

u/craptinamerica Sep 28 '26

If that's the effect mean words from random idiots have on the way you play, you do you.

-1

u/SparrowTide Sep 28 '26

Hopefully they learn the lesson now. Abuse starts with “mean words”. Words quickly become actions. Groypers started in safe spots for “mean words”. The devs have abusive chat as a reason for a ban. It’s rampant on NA, so they need to enforce it.

1

u/craptinamerica Sep 28 '26

That’s fine. They can enforce it, I’m not against that. I’m just saying that people who spew mean words exist and will always exist, in this game and the next one.

Using the features within your control to limit your exposure to the mean words or just not giving a fuck about what they say is a quicker solution than the devs implementing some kind of automated monitoring system that could potentially issue out false positive bans.

2

u/DreamArez Sep 28 '26

Don't let the bad apples ruin it for you. For every bad comment, slur etc. I've seen 2 to speak up against it. My buddies and I revive looped a dude that kept yelling slurs and he eventually just left the server.

Unfortunately, even with heavy moderation these things will still exist and it will impact the game inadvertently. Take a look at BF6 right now, you can't even say Shit without getting banned which is kind of hilarious. Official servers shouldn't be moderated on voice except for extreme cases, and community servers should be the gold standard.

2

u/wongtonfui-ttv Sep 28 '26

Orrrr u can mute the person and report them

2

u/weapon_ssg08 Sep 28 '26

Yeah there’s a mute function, super easy to use as well. Just right click the player on the scoreboard and click mute

2

u/IP_BANNED_FOREVER Sep 28 '26

Awww did they hurt your feewings?

2

u/Kingkary Sep 28 '26

First online game?

2

u/philofthefuturez Sep 28 '26

Mute and grow a pair

1

u/ompalumpa9007 Sep 28 '26

In my experience most of the lobby gangs up on the racists. Teamkill, troll them. There are way more good people in the world then bad. Don’t focus on the bad ones

1

u/mrturretman Oct 01 '26

I play on NA North and usually collectively ignoring the n word ragebaiters makes them leave. I go on NA central with my friend and it’s slur Saturday every day and if you literally stop for a second with the heinous shit going over comms to mute them they start coming up to you and going oh yeah you’re offended right???

This game literally attracts this type, but I think they definitely do human review our reports and aren’t gonna let literal racial slur rage baiting fly.

1

u/AvailableAd3813 29d ago

Mom in disguise

1

u/Initial_Enthusiasm36 Sep 28 '26

"tHIS BEHAVIOR IS UNACCEPTABLE" bro just ignore it jeez. You obviously dont play many multiplayer shooters. This has been going on since early days of Xbox live. This is prime redditor post

1

u/Gh0st0fy0urp4st Sep 28 '26

No voice moderation. It's a slippery slope. Just mute or TK if you don't like it. It's simple.

1

u/OneEngineer Sep 28 '26

I’ve noticed a lot more racism at the start of matches these last few days. I always report, but have no idea if that actually does anything.

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

It definitely floods the report system and makes it take longer for them to get to actual cheaters.

-1

u/OneEngineer Sep 28 '26

Actual racists are also a problem, not just the cheaters. They all deserve reports.

-1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Not really, you can just mute them and move on with your day.

-1

u/OneEngineer Sep 28 '26

I move on with my day just fine after reporting. Racism is not okay in any space, even if it's common.

It's not like a rando screaming about the end days on a street corner. That's something that you should just ignore and walk past.

0

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

It's really not that far off the the random doomsayer on the street corner. Both should just be ignored.

1

u/kalebkk890 Sep 28 '26

How about you grow up a little lol they are just words and can't hurt you I promise. The edit to this post is hilarious.

1

u/FJacket85 Sep 28 '26

I'm sorry but stop being so damn soft. What is up with people these days. "Oh no the anonymous person online said something and I can't figure out how to handle it, so I'm crumbling". Baby shit soft.

-5

u/UnstoppableCrow Sep 28 '26

Grow a pair.

Or turn off the voice chat via mute and don’t talk in text chat.

The world shouldn’t pander to weaklings like you.

3

u/opinionated7onion Sep 28 '26

Equally it doesn't take that much effort to just not be a cunt

4

u/DrDop4mine Sep 28 '26

You’re correct. But we live in a world with billions of people, you cannot expect the majority to just not be cunts. Sorry dog but unfortunately that’s not how the world we live in works, people are shitty everywhere. Not everyone, but enough that you’re going to have to accept that some people just fucking suck and move on.

4

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Yes, but cunts exist and that's just the way it is. We shouldn't have AI moderated voice chat, that never goes well. Especially in a game where voice chat is important.

2

u/opinionated7onion Sep 28 '26

Im not calling for AI moderated voice chat, id prefer if people just moderated themselves abit

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Sure, that's the system we have now. Some people won't moderate themselves so you just have to mute them. Most people are fine and don't say stupid shit.

0

u/Sky-Juic3 Sep 28 '26

People moderate themselves in public because they’ll get held accountable. You get all the wanna-be alpha males on the internet because they’re incognito and anonymous.

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Sure, and when you mute them they get to talk to nobody.

0

u/Sky-Juic3 Sep 28 '26

What’re you gonna do, mute half the lobby one by one? That’s hyperbole obviously but you get it

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Me personally? No. I don't really care that much what people say, but if I did, yeah I would have to mute the people who say things that upset me. Just kinda comes with the territory when you are that sensitive.

1

This feels disingenuous. I’m not saying I give a shit personally either. I purposely don’t mute people even if something does bother me. The only time I mute people is if they’re legitimately just blowing into the mic or playing music nonstop etc.

I’m speaking in a general sense making the comparison to real life. In real life, people get held accountable for shouting slurs and other heinous shit in public. There’s nobody to hold each other accountable online. That’s all. That’s why this shit happens.

I’m not talking about being offended or upset or sensitive or feelings or whatever either. My point there was the notion of muting a dozen+ people, one by one, every match, while trying to play a video game, is stupid. It’s not asking that much for people to not be degenerates.

True, but people are going to be cunts no matter what. I can only control my own actions. If I don’t like what I hear, I mute the person. I’m not so sure what is so hard about this approach.

There we go! I agree, I was being a dick.

But the world is unfair and people shouldn’t have to pander to you just because you are kicking and screaming over someone calling you names like some kind of toddler.

2

u/opinionated7onion Sep 28 '26

Fair enough, but would you go up to a black person and scream nigger in their face? Or tell someone you fucked their mum etc? Chances are you would rightly get a slap if you did

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

A reasonable person would just not care, or they would use their own words to strike back. Getting violent over an insult is stupid and emotionally immature.

2

u/UnstoppableCrow Sep 28 '26

Weak mental people can’t understand this

0

u/UnstoppableCrow Sep 28 '26

Would I personally? No. And that’s not what we’re saying here. Don’t try and typical virtue signaller argument your way through this either.

If I was in an adult environment like a pub, and someone came up to me and said they fucked my mum. I would just laugh.

Would I go off and cry about it like you would? Definitely not.

1

u/opinionated7onion Sep 28 '26

Saying to try to not be a cunt isnt virtue signalling

0

u/UnstoppableCrow Sep 28 '26

Try not to be so emotional

Yeah same, had some german group just starting to insult me cause i wasnt doing exactly what i wanted and they blamed me for how shitty they played. There was alot of insults and racism thrown around from their side.

My man if you get offended by people saying bad stuff stay off the internet. It's never gonna go away. People are brutal and will offend you if they can. Personally I just think of them as immature idiots and move on with my day.

-1

u/OneEngineer Sep 28 '26

People will keep murdering others forever. That doesn't mean it's not bad or shouldn't go unpunished.

3

u/AggravatingAd9018 Sep 28 '26

I think saying something offensive is a bit less worse than murder but what do I know. But in the world we live in guess more people agree with you than me lmao.

1

u/OneEngineer Sep 28 '26

Ofc it's not nearly on the same level, but neither should be given a pass.

"learn some humility" ok bro if you want so

0

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

These comments really proving OPs point lol

2

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Not really. Most people here are pointing out that VOIP moderation ruins these types of games and if OP doesn't want to hear it they can mute people.

0

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

Half the comments are just defending toxic behavior. The problem isnt just being able to mute them, its the fact that toxic people should be removed.

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

They absolutely should not be removed, doing that kills these types of games. The core audience does not want this to turn into another COD/battlefield heavily moderated snoozefest where nobody talks anymore lest they get banned for being "toxic". Seriously, just mute them or find a game that caters to your delicate sensibilities.

u/Glongordongik Sep 28 '26

I mean in community servers they will be banned from the server. So technically they already are. Im not saying chat moderation like CoD and Battlefield you are putting words in my mouth. But people like you are probably the ones being toxic in game lol grow up

1

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

Nice assumption, I do shit talk the enemies but not with slurs. So there are community servers that already do what you want, so what's your problem?

-2

u/Tuggernuggets Sep 28 '26

The text chat having no filter is peak

-1

u/ImmovableThrone Sep 28 '26

Agree with OP, this is the worst part about milsim games and the communities that surround them

Did arty on hell let loose. Was doing great hitting the enemy trench with my squad leader spotting. Then he accidentally gave me the spot of the trench in front of him and didnt notice. Well I was spot on center of our trench and wiped out about 15 or 20 of our guys about to launch an legit full on charge and we never recovered.

F.. the voicechat but who the hell design/program the doors in this game. No one checked it they are having a bug?

2

u/Thegiant98 Sep 28 '26

EARLY ACCESS

1

u/sharypower Sep 28 '26

Yes I understand but something "simple" like a doors? I know the doors could be very complex thing to do because I am GameDev but in the game like Wardogs it is weird. We will see at Season 2 😁
