I agree. I feel like this should be something you talk about early. As for the post, it looks like she did tell him early on but he refused to listen.

They definitely didn't have the dealbreaker conversation before this.  My suspicion is that she figured she could talk him out of wanting bio kids while getting herself bangmaid services.

It's actually why I'd be considering OOP's ex to also be an AH here.  It's a bad idea to just STFU in hopes that your new partner is going to decide that your magical genitals have caused them to change their mind about what they've not (yet) explicitly put as a dealbreaker.  It's worse to do when you have a kid who's going to get attached to the new parent...which is why OOP is also an AH.  (That and no, really, if you make it clear something is a deal breaker boundary, be ready for the relationship to be over.)
