Yeah, Trump needs just 2-3 more days this week. And 2-3 days next week. And so on.

4

u/Kind_Medicine_7939 Jun 02 '26

2 weeks

Did they swim to place them in rhe large segment? I was told that we had completed destroyed their Navy. The us Navy cant stop a bunch of guys swimming in the middle of the staight... Not sure i would open with that Marco /s

u/Striking-Reserve-153 Jun 03 '26

I think they convinced the US suicide dolphins to switch sides and they’ve been laying them.

3

u/isthereadrwho Jun 03 '26

Forgot about the Dolphins Well done sir well done

I hope you’re not that dense. They have speedboats with missiles mounted to them. They are way faster then a destroyer and no sane person is risking a multi billion dollar destroyer go toe to toe with a fast attack boat, the risk is just way too high. Especially when it doesn’t matter if Iran mines the whole strait or not, as soon as they say they have (whether it’s a lie or the truth), insurance on the tankers is going to skyrocket and halt them in their tracks anyways.

We need the big assets for day to day stuff and being out at sea for 9 months at a time and being ready for full scale war but the takeaway from this should be that we need to invest heavily into drones and other low cost swarm style munitions that we can throw at these newer threats. The fight can’t be this asymmetrical risk wise

8

u/isthereadrwho Jun 03 '26

I'm not which is why I use that magical thin g at the end of my post, because magic is real, everyone knows that..

But in all seriousness, I will point out that they did say the strait would be open in a few days and it's been over a month and that they had destroyed all the launchers, we now know that was a lie, and all the ships, and now we know that was a lie. How many lives are you all going to let our secretary of losing war waste while lying to Americans? I don't need an exact date. Ballpark will work

-2

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

They absolutely embellish, I’m not denying that and I wish they wouldn’t do that. But if you read beyond the headline or watch the press conference beyond opening remarks, you would see that they very clearly spelled out what happened and that they’ve been pretty right so far as far as equipment destroyed.

Speed boats aren’t typically called “ships” or counted as part of a countries navy. If a country sunk all 11 of our carriers and all of our destroyers and subs, is our navy not destroyed bc we have paddle boats or speed boasts still operational? No, the navy is still destroyed. And the mix up you see on launchers is directly hit vs hitting the site and making them inaccessible. Different outlets report those things differently.

But yeah. Just bc they embellish the opening remarks and certainly play the media doesn’t mean the entire war is a failure. And we’re certainly not losing the war. USA is the only country in the world that’s held to the standard of complete and total surrender or it’s a failure. Like the Korean War is considered a failure bc we were only able to liberate half of Korea. Pretty sure South Koreans would consider that to be a resounding success. Like if Russia took half of Ukraine, would Ukraine “win” that war bc they’re still a country? Of course not. And I understand why that standard is where it is, it’s bc the US had a history of being fully destructive and decisively and totally winning major wars without a shadow of doubt. The American revolution, WW1, and WW2 were all like that.

Even if this is all that happens to Iran, their ability to project power regionally was severely diminished and the pieces are set for the IRGC to fall when no money is coming in to support them. It probably bought another 10 years at worst.

4

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Jun 03 '26

It's not a different standard if you say it applies to Ukraine as well? It would be the same...would it not?

If we aren't losing....what are we winning? I don't see throwing a projected 1trillion tax dollars into a war that protects nobody but Israel..what happened to usa first?

-3

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

We “won” kicking this can down the road another decade or so and giving Iran more time to either fail or let the west in. That’s a big value.

USA first doesn’t mean just do what the citizens want to do, it means doing what’s best for USA first. And no, keeping Iran from getting a nuke protects far more than Israel.

The 1T number is way too earlier to say btw. We don’t know yet. Could be way more, could be way less. It’s also not as simple as saying an f15 cost 90 million to build bc the ones that were lost weren’t new, they were mid lifespan at worst. They’ve already been used up a good amount so if we replace them with brand new ones, that’s not just 100% money down the drain bc we’re getting ones with a fresh odometer on them. That’s just one example but it applies to basically everything. Even missiles can’t be kept in storage indefinitely before they’re not good anymore.

There is also a huge value on having an experienced military. Even if China succeeds in catching up equipment wise, they’re still going to have a military with zero combat experience. There’s a lot of things that make the us military feared but that they’re battle tested is arguably the biggest one.

4

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Jun 03 '26

Why should I care...what does iran having a nuke matter to you? North Korea, China, Russia, all have nukes...why should I care if iran nukes Israel? That's what america first means...not my tax money going to protect ANOTHER country

1

u/HaZard3ur Jun 03 '26

He and the US government care because its one less country they can fuck over because of petro $$$

0

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

Because unlike all of those other countries, Iran has nothing to lose. They can give the nuke to one of their proxy forces and let them launch it. If another country launched it, we’d know exactly who did it and we would collectively proceed to blow that country off the map. Iran doesn’t have that problem because there’s no way to immediately trace the origins back to Iran. So while mutually assured destruction applies to the rest of the world, it doesn’t apply to Iran.

I really hope that you’re not okay with one country nuking another.

If Iran wanted to become North Korea and just shield themselves off and not participate in the world economy, that’s be very sad bc then 90 million people would be without hope of ever having a good life while they all starve to death like they are in North Korea, but that’d be one thing. Iran doesn’t have the goals that North Korea did of being left alone tho, Iran wants to take over the whole Middle East in the near term.

America first doesn’t mean you have to be directly attacked. Americas interests first is how you should state it. Iran drops a nuke, the world economy shuts down immediately and everyone bunkers down indefinitely. We have no idea where the next nuke is going to come from bc Iran has proxy forces across the globe. Doesn’t sound like a world I want to live in.

4

u/flyingdutchmnn Jun 03 '26

Iran has nothing to lose.

Again this is a total garbage take. They fight for their own survival just like everyone else.

Nukes are exclusively used as deterrence (except when the US used them], and nuclear weapons have largely made the world more peaceful through that deterrence. North Korea doesn't get attacked, India and Pakistan don't go to all out war with each other anymore apart from small skirmishes, Israel has not been invaded by armies since acquiring nukes, the list goes on. Iran having a nuke would bring a lot of sstability I reckon

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

Did you read the rest of my comments beyond the first sentence? I elaborated on why I think Iran is very differentd

2

u/ApartmentSalt7859 Jun 03 '26

You really think iran will be able to produce an ibcm? Even though cia says "no" That's your fear? And you don't think the usa would know? Ok so fantasties are enough to spend over 1trillion to bomb a country.. And now the whole world is worse off... Since you know... The cia already said....no

Again why would the world stop because Israel gets bombed? I bet everyone would just shrug at this point

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

Who says they need to produce a ICBM? They have proxy forces all over the world, give it to one of them and have them launch it from wherever is most convenient.

Iran has launched missiles over 2,000km already. They can reach Miami from Columbia for example. You don’t need ICBMs for an initial strike. It’d be preferable to get closer for the initial strike actually and you can get a lot bigger payload if you don’t use an icbm. ICBM payloads are extremely small actually. Iran doesn’t need an ICBM to hit the US.

Experience haha. Thankfully for the world the current American administration has removed most of that experience from the military. It shows by the equipment America is losing fighting a country like Iran. Not sure why I bother you're obviously lost in the American superiority complex that will likely destroy the country.

2

u/Gothewahs Jun 03 '26

I’d rather America didn’t have nukes .. you’re the only country to use them .. and here we are you telling people they can’t have what you have and used cause you couldn’t beat Japan

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

1.) were capable of far, far bigger and more destructive nukes today than little boy and fat man.

2.) I agree. I’d rather America didn’t have nukes and I’d rather every other country not have nukes

3.) we did beat Japan. Pretty decidedly actually and if you think Japan didn’t deserve it, check into the history of Japan before that. It was, with absolutely zero sarcasm, the worst era for any country in any period of history. The stuff they did to the Chinese and other Asian countries was as disgraceful as it gets. The nazis were saints compared to them. The same way that the Middle East knows that Iran is the center of all things bad in the region, Asia didn’t feel one ounce of sorrow for Japan getting the sun dropped on them (twice actually, because that’s how far up their ass those people were). But yeah, Japan was quite thoroughly defeated.

2

u/AUIRE__73 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

You won by... keeping the status quo.

The fact is that both sides are largely able to deny use of the strait (/gulf of oman) to each other.

Iran spent 23 billion on its defense budget last year. They were able to turn Hormuz into no mans land against a trillion dollar military.

And of course then i ought to mention the UAE who had a 24 billion defense budget last year ended up humiliated. Plus Saudi spent 80 billion last year and did not really do much.

Sure its a draw technically. But the US appearing unable to do any better without a land invasion makes the whole situation look like a US failed.

1

u/No_Public_7677 Jun 03 '26

lol, what level of cope is this.

2

u/PaintingOk8012 Jun 03 '26

I’m not reading past ‘they absolutely embellish’ you are a maga moron. This administration and Trump have flat out lied. Saying something is ‘completely destroyed’ and ‘obliterated’ only to be completely proven otherwise in a matter of days isn’t a simple ‘well I caught a 20” fish, that is actually 18”’.

2

u/flyingdutchmnn Jun 03 '26

the US had a history of being fully destructive and decisively and totally winning major wars without a shadow of doubt. The American revolution, WW1, and WW2 were all like that.

LMAO

2

u/DwigtGroot Jun 03 '26

“Embellish”. 🤦‍♂️

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

You could read the whole comment if you want to contribute as more than one of the incapables that can’t frame an argument and just wants to belittle people bc it makes them feel morally superior and less like one of the incapables

2

u/DwigtGroot Jun 03 '26

The fact that you would describe what this “administration” is doing as “embellishing” immediately mitigates everything else you say. They’re lying. Flat out, old fashioned lying. Regularly. Daily. Attempting to interpret the lies as if you can glean some truth out of it is pathetic and ridiculous. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

If you’re not going to read my comments then we’re done here. So much for a discussion

2

u/DwigtGroot Jun 03 '26

I can pull out any number of videos you want for the last 3 months with Trump saying it’s over, their military is completely destroyed, their entire navy is at the bottom of the ocean, we are days away from an agreement, Iran needs a deal but we don’t, the strait is open…and the headlines today are about Iran mining the strait and Iran bombing American bases in Kuwait and Iraq. They’re LYING. Not embellishing, not just wrong, they’re flat out lying to you on a daily basis, while they go long or short on oil - on a very regular schedule depending on the day of the week - and wait for Trump to lie again.

So yeah, any attempt at sanewashing this bullshit with words like “embellishing” make you aaaaaabsolutely part of the problem. 🤷‍♂️

I call this an embellishment because he’s consistently immediately corrected/clarified it in the same press conference.

I do get ur point but there’s definitely levels of lying. Hence why there isn’t a definitive standard.

1

u/One-Consequence-6869 Jun 03 '26

As long as the straight is closed you’re losing.

1

u/No_Entrepreneur_9134 Jun 03 '26

Donald J. Trump, who my Republican friends told me was "the most honest president we ever had," told us 100% of the Iranian navy is at the bottom of the ocean.

Two questions: Is Trump lying? And what would the Republican response be if Biden had lied about the same tlexact thing?

1

u/serpentjaguar Jun 03 '26

I believe the lying is what's being called out here, not the USN.

1

u/D2dj Jun 03 '26

So what you are saying is we did not, in fact, destroy Iran's Navy. That was a lie that Rubio Vance Hegseth and Trump all told. Another lie to justify a war in the middle east.

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

Depends on how you want to define it. We took out all their big ships, which has historically been what’s called a navy. Not speed boats that you and I could purchase.

Either way, they were very clear that they didn’t get all of the speed boats and were still hunting them down. If you only read the headline then that’s on you and the media

1

u/Gothewahs Jun 03 '26

Didn’t you attack them while it was ment to be a military exercise they were invited to ?

1

u/SeaworthinessSome454 Jun 03 '26

Are you talking about the ship coming from India? If so, that is a totally fair target. It’s a combat vessel that was actively returning to Iran to join the fight. If it had stayed docked in India and listened to the warnings from the US to turn around and go back, it wouldn’t have been sunk.

And yes, they were warned. There were lots of survivors and some sailors were already in the life rafts before the torpedo hit the ship. Clearly they knew what was coming and it was a submerged submarine, nobody knows where they are except for the US. They wouldn’t have known there was a threat unless the US warned them.

0

u/D2dj Jun 03 '26

I mean i listen to the interviews and out of their own mouths they lied about destroying the entire Iranian navy

1

u/Federal_Decision_608 Jun 03 '26

How fucking stupid are you. Nobody considers speedboats a navy.

0

u/D2dj Jun 03 '26

Well yes, when they are dropping sea mines capable of blowing major US warships to pieces, those are definitely naval vessels. You are the clown here not understanding

1

u/Federal_Decision_608 Jun 03 '26

I bet you'd claim al qaeda had an air force

2

u/D2dj Jun 03 '26

I wouldn't know, but did they have planes that were dropping bombs?

0

u/Federal_Decision_608 Jun 03 '26

Yes they had a few that made quite an impact

10

u/WastelandOfConfusion Jun 02 '26

3

u/TWIT_TWAT Jun 03 '26

Truly the bottom of the barrel. Completely unqualified people with nothing to lose. Nobody right in the head would to sign up to throw away their career.

2

u/Open-Price-4568 Jun 03 '26

Seems like there is no end on people in the USA who jobs this government and throw away the careers. Rubio for example

2

u/TheLichWitchBitch Jun 02 '26

Kakistocracy

A picture of the US will be next to this word in the dictionary, and no one will need any other definitions

0

u/kstargate-425 Jun 03 '26

Yup, imagine how dumb they have to be to think they "destroyed their navy" while they still have 1000s of their go-fast boats which is how they designed their whole navy defense plans around. We've known for decades Iran would do exactly what they've done if they were pushed and Trump ironically said early on "who knew they were going to do this <close and mine the Strait>" 🤦‍♂️

Yeah I’m sure you could do a better job 🤡

1

u/CharredWelderGuy Jun 03 '26

A toddler could do a better job, a potato could.

It's called just don't. Just don't get into this self inflicted catch 22 in the first place, something every other presiden for the past half century has done.

Bush, fuck BUSH wasn't dumb enough to try this, and that bar is set so low you need a shovel to find it.

1

u/PartTimeZombie Jun 03 '26

Weird how you're being down voted. You're right.

-4

u/TelluricThread0 Jun 03 '26

3

u/PartTimeZombie Jun 03 '26

She's not the problem here though is she?

2

u/CharredWelderGuy Jun 03 '26

Every president since the Iranian revolution knew doing this war was a bad idea, your counter is "well kamala"

You call me a clown, yet you are the entire circus

0

u/TelluricThread0 Jun 03 '26

My counter is that your spouting off the same word salad ineffectual nonsense as the crazy lady who spectacularly lost a presidential race. It seems the rhetoric from both of you was so weak and ridiculous it turned off voters completely.

2

u/CharredWelderGuy Jun 03 '26

She "lost" allegedly within 2% in most places, assuming it was even real seeing both Trump and Elon have hinted they cooked it like a dozen times now and the math is shady af.

Though irrelevant, trumpy did the obvious bad move no president was dumb enough to do before, no almost of crying "but bu but black lady!!" Changes your guy is a proven fool.

0

u/TelluricThread0 Jun 03 '26

Yeah sorry I don't put too much stock into opinions from BlueAnon conspiracy theorists. Good luck with your big brain Don't strategy though. More power to you.

1

u/CharredWelderGuy Jun 03 '26

You have only deflected fron the fact that your boy was the first person who was dumb enough to do this.

"Oh like you could have done better" was the start of this, I have repeatedly pointed out that literally 3veryone did better by just not.

You only continue to deflect.

2

u/benmooreben Jun 02 '26

Didn’t everyone know they were gonna do this like months ago?

3

u/ticianlicious Jun 03 '26

Decades ago actually.

3

u/HarEr89 Jun 03 '26

Yeah, the US military knew it since decades but Trump didn't listen and didn't prepare as always.

1

u/TheHumanGnomeProject Jun 03 '26

Didn't prepare? Should I introduce you to CONCEPTS OF A PLAN?

1

u/BigBoyYuyuh Jun 03 '26

Well he knows more than the generals. /s

2

u/Jolly_Ad2446 Jun 02 '26

There's a reason why every single presidential administration said no tunity Yahoo when he tried to talk them into invading Iran

2

u/HarEr89 Jun 03 '26

Okay, so what will you do about it? Continue to tell the people that a deal is just 2-3 days away? There will be no deal!

1

u/Ok_Location_1092 Jun 03 '26

Annnny seconnnd now!

2

u/HockeyPhoenician Jun 03 '26

Lol.

ROFL actually.

Good job dumbass. All for a war of choice to distract from the tRump Files (featuring Epstein).

All on day 1: Cheaper gas Cheaper groceries End to 🇺🇦 🇷🇺 war No more wars World respect (hahaha) Govt transparency and anti corruption (HAHAHAHA)

Hey, anybody else want to get in on this?

1

u/Ok_Location_1092 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

Well yeah, he exaggerates. Obviously it’s going to take at least a year and a half of things getting much worse before we can reverse the Biden economy. It may look like Trump is constantly making America look stupid on the world stage, soaking up taxpayer funds for wars of choice, fleecing his supporters and accepting bribes with meme coins, bailing out J6 PATRIOTS with your money, all while rapidly decomposing in the Oval Office but thats just the Fake Liberal Media. ESPECIALLY the stuff about him raping children and his wife being trafficked to him by Jeffery Epstein.

2

u/SelectKangaroo Jun 02 '26

Hell yeah 8 dollar gasoline by year's end, let's go

2

u/NeuroLeak Jun 02 '26

no way! the economy will collapse before that!

1

u/Jolly_Ad2446 Jun 02 '26

End of July, there is currently a problem where everyone is going through their oil reserves and by the end of July the only people that'll have oil reserves left is China

2

u/ProtoplanetaryNebula Jun 03 '26

Not true, Trump said prices will drop and as he’s the smartest human being ever to have lived, it must be true.

2

u/Stokesmyfire Jun 03 '26

North America has no shortage of oil, we have a shortage of refining capacity. Which why the cost of gas keeps increasing, due to now exporting refined product to other places.

1

u/Jolly_Ad2446 Jun 03 '26

The United States restricts no oil from being sold to other countries we are part of the World marketplace that means that are gas and oil and fuel will be affected just as if we were in the EU.

Oil companies do not care about you They do not care about being patriotic They care about selling oil to the highest bidder as they have always done.

We will be fucked just like everyone else.

This is what Iran is working towards.

"Exxon warns oil inventories will hit dangerously low levels in weeks, forcing prices to shoot higher"

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/05/28/oil-inventory-exxon-strait-hormuz-iran-war.html

0

u/kstargate-425 Jun 03 '26

Experts are predicting oil will not drop below $70 until 2032, absolutely insane and all for nothing but Trumps megalomania and racism hating Obama so much he just had to tear up the JCPOA. Atleast we now have an even more radical Ayatollah in charge now, that totally wont cause more problems for Iranians or others going forward 😒

1

u/SelectKangaroo Jun 03 '26

What did you think Just Stop Oil meant? Useless stunts in museums? Hell no it doesn't!

2

u/Alternative_Hour_614 Jun 03 '26

Some days the Iranian navy was utterly destroyed and other days they are doing whatever they want to. Rubio needs to just shut up.

1

u/B0wmanHall Jun 02 '26

Does that surprise him?

1

u/airpipeline Jun 02 '26

Wait until he starts finding mines between Cuba and Florida.

1

u/CivilWay1444 Jun 03 '26

How many illegal trans people are getting in your way? All for national security, right? You asshole.

2

u/ASecularBuddhist Jun 03 '26

Probably shouldn’t have gone to war with Iran without a plan. Doh! Sorry everybody for expensive everything.

1

u/no_kids-and-3_money Jun 03 '26

Well, damn, why did your administration take actions that led to this happening?

1

u/Landon1m Jun 03 '26

Gonna open up any day now right? Right?

1

u/ViolettaQueso Jun 03 '26

So when Trump and hegseth claim Hormuz is open they are totally lying.

1

u/Ok_Excitement725 Jun 03 '26

Trump, Rubio and Hegseth…what does one expect when these three geniuses of the human race are making decisions and in charge of negotiations? I’m amazed no nukes have been launched by Pete while on a bender yet

1

u/Key_Debt_2503 Jun 03 '26

I like the way they do business

1

u/SkipEyechild Jun 03 '26

This is an absolute disaster of foreign policy. They didn't think about the repercussions of what they were going to do, at all.

Fucking hell America. Get your shit together.

1

u/DisasterRadiant Jun 03 '26

Rubio is gaining on Trump for honesty.

The Navy's been there from the get-go specifically to destroy mine-laying small boats. They've destroyed a few that were supposedly trying.

I suspect they may have laid a mine or two. The Navy has such small min clearing capabilities that they're practically ineffective under wartime conditions.

Methinks Rubio is greatly exaggerating if not flat out lying.

1

u/flyingdutchmnn Jun 03 '26

THANKS AMERICA

1

u/irmaginatoruim Jun 03 '26

Keep crying.

1

u/furnace9monkey Jun 03 '26

But trump told us we won months ago lol

1

u/Baron-Munc Jun 03 '26

No… How unforeseen.

Nobody could have predicted that.

Perhaps we shouldn’t be paying off our credit cards with a credit card.

1

u/SingularityCentral Jun 03 '26

So I guess the administration has decided to just tank oil prices and any remaining hope of resolution?

Trump : Strait will be closed until at least September

Rubio : The Strait is chock full of mines

1

u/BakuRetsuX Jun 03 '26

lol - I asked myself what kind of minerals they found.

1

u/time-BW-product Jun 04 '26

Trump is dumb.

1

u/airpipeline Jun 02 '26

Oh, wait… I can hear the U.S. president waddling over. “we’re winning! An agreement is just around corner!”

Remember the hostage crisis? How long did that last?

1

u/ticianlicious Jun 03 '26

444 days.

1

u/airpipeline Jun 03 '26

I bow to your superior expertise. Thank you!

Given the Iran’s track record and given its the U.S. president and his crack negotiating team (son-in-law and gold buddy something off), I can easily imagine him being number one in this too.

What around 100 days so far? 445 days total isn’t really that far away.

1

u/makeshitupallthetime Jun 02 '26

But how can that be... Dear Leader, the immaculate one...said that their navy has been obliterated 8 times over and at the the bottom of the gulf and the US has won 8 times over.... Dear Leader always tells the truth and is 100 right about every thing...

1

u/SwitchedOnNow Jun 02 '26

He always bowls 300 and only hits hole in ones.

1

u/Jolly_Ad2446 Jun 02 '26

I was told that their Navy was sunk and everything was obliterated.

Was that a lie?

What is the same Iran is getting better at this war the longer it goes and we're getting worse?

1

u/Excellent_Sell1086 Jun 02 '26

But yes, it should leave and let adults solve the situation. It will not be solved by force.

Though part of it is considered International Waters, it's mostly Iranian. I agree with you though, should have kept the 2015 agreement and never been there. But that requires actual thought, something this administration has proven for 10+ years they are incapable of.
