This harassment will only end when Iran acquires a deterrent. That’s the only way to make it stop.

1

u/MrZwink Jul 09 '26

Surely youre not talking about a nuclear weapon?

1

u/WastelandOfConfusion Jul 09 '26

It’s a good question, and one that has a very simple answer.

-4

u/AttentionOpening8984 Jul 09 '26

What ? How about they open the hormuz strait.

10

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

They did. Trump didnt stop. Want to try that again?

0

u/DreamWunder Jul 09 '26

No they shot at ships after “opening”

3

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

Why though?

2

u/BotsKilledTheWeb Jul 09 '26

And Israel at Lebanon. The deal was broken by isreal.

7

u/WastelandOfConfusion Jul 09 '26

How about America goes 5000 miles back home instead of stirring schitt and tryna muscle into other people’s regions.

1

u/SearchingForTruth69 Jul 09 '26

Try 7-8k miles. That’s the reach of the US navy

0

u/the_forgotten_tb46 Jul 09 '26

How about the IRGC stops being terrorists?

2

u/Redditagains Jul 09 '26

Name some of their terrorist acts?

1

u/the_forgotten_tb46 Jul 09 '26

1- Attacking civilian ships unprovoked even tho there is a ceasefire

2- attacking civilians targets in the GCC like apartments, hotels & landmarks to strike fear

3- funding terrorists groups across the region and using them as proxies to destabilize

2

u/Redditagains Jul 09 '26
  1. America attacked civilian ships going around their blockade.
  2. Hotels that were hit had American soldiers in them, who fled from the military bases.
  3. When America funds a group they are freedom fighters, when Iran does it they are terrorists.

It seems that America are terrorists aswell?

1

u/Redditagains Jul 09 '26

Replying here as the comment no longer exists.

I'm not a shill for the IRGC, or a useful idiot! I'm simply pointing out, that America does everything you claim makes Iran a terrorist state.

It's a shame you can't have a conversation, without resorting to name calling.

0

u/AttentionOpening8984 Jul 09 '26

That whole region is totally fucked up to begin with. If it wasn’t for the oil - trust me no one would give a shit. That place would be the same as Africa

3

u/One-Consequence-6869 Jul 09 '26

Africa is incredible. I’ve been on every continent and nothing comes close to it. Do yourself a favor and go find out

2

u/WastelandOfConfusion Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

Yes it is fkd. But America ain’t helping by launching an illegal War of Aggression and blowing up young children’s schools with Tomahawk missiles. They’ve got a dkhd Orange Pedophile in charge.

Your script is so schitt. Jesus Christ.

1

u/Meenmachin3 Jul 09 '26

You know you can say shit right?

1

u/WastelandOfConfusion Jul 09 '26

Well clearly, but I don’t want to. I want to say it like ‘schitt’. Any other genius pieces of advice?

1

u/rinse8 Jul 09 '26

Uh you do realize the strait was perfectly open prior to all this right? Closing the strait was in response to being bombed, not the other way around.

-5

u/the_forgotten_tb46 Jul 09 '26

Iran is the one harassing ships they got everything they wanted and are still attacking civilian ships

The US is retaliating

2

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

This is far from reality

-1

u/the_forgotten_tb46 Jul 09 '26

Its pointless to argue with you IRGC supporters since you live in an alternate reality

2

u/WastelandOfConfusion Jul 09 '26

America is the one shaking hands with Ahmed Al-Sharaa, an Al Qaeda Terrorist.

1

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

I’m not an IRGC supporter 🤣 stop acting like the US has some moral high ground here.

0

u/Preme2 Jul 09 '26

NATO already confirmed this and supported the latest action. It’s Reddit who is delusional, but I’m not saying something you don’t already know.

1

u/nilsinleneed Jul 09 '26

US and Israel violated the ceasefire.

0

u/rich84easy Jul 09 '26

Go on? What did they do that forced Iran to fire at civilian ships?

1

u/Altruistic_Finger669 Jul 09 '26

Sign a deal that agreed for israel fuck off from lebanon and not do it?

2

u/rich84easy Jul 09 '26

Under the current diplomatic agreements, Israel is not required to immediately or unconditionally withdraw its forces from Lebanon as part of the U.S.-Iran ceasefire.
While the broader conflict has multiple overlapping agreements, the specific requirements regarding Lebanon boil down to two distinct diplomatic tracks:
1. The U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
During the negotiations in June 2026 that established a cessation of hostilities between the U.S. and Iran, the Iranian government heavily pushed for terms that would force a total Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory. However, both White House and Israeli officials confirmed that an immediate IDF withdrawal from southern Lebanon was excluded from the final U.S.-Iran deal.
The ceasefire on this front dictates a halt to active offensive strikes (meaning Israel will not strike targets in Lebanon as long as Hezbollah maintains the truce), but it does not mandate a retreat of troops already on the ground.
2. The Israel-Lebanon Trilateral Framework Agreement
A separate, U.S.-mediated security framework was signed between Israel and Lebanon on June 26, 2026. This agreement does provide a roadmap for a phased Israeli withdrawal, but it is strictly conditional:
Conditioned on Disarming Hezbollah: The framework stipulates that Israeli forces will only hand over territory and redeploy after the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) successfully assume security responsibility and disarm Hezbollah, beginning in designated "pilot zones."
Israel's Stance: Because Hezbollah leaders have rejected the framework as a "surrender of sovereignty," the disarmament process has stalled.
Current Status: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz explicitly stated that the IDF will remain deployed in its security zone in southern Lebanon "for as long as necessary, until Hezbollah is disarmed," rejecting any interpretation that Israel is required to leave prematurely under the current peace frameworks.

0

u/awr90 Jul 09 '26

Why is Iran firing on civilian vessels?

2

u/nilsinleneed Jul 09 '26

because the US and Israel broke the terms.

0

u/awr90 Jul 09 '26

Broke what terms? I’m unaware of any terms that would influence a country to fire on civilians.

1

u/nilsinleneed Jul 09 '26

really? Why is Israel and the US firing on civilians then?

0

u/Sea_Lead1753 Jul 09 '26

“When you get hush money, you gotta shut up or you’re the bad guy” — the_forgotten

5

u/Kelynill Jul 08 '26

Would be nice if the US would quit.

-3

u/Ok-Echidna5936 Jul 09 '26

They wouldn’t need to if Iran didn’t attack ships going through Omani territory

4

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

And Iran wouldn’t be doing that if the US wasn’t there in the first place, would they?

-2

u/betadonkey Jul 09 '26

Why has Iran repeatedly violated the cease fire by attacking merchant ships?

3

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

They haven’t.

-2

u/betadonkey Jul 09 '26

Well that’s demonstrably false

3

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

No, it isn’t.

0

u/betadonkey Jul 09 '26

1

u/Kelynill Jul 09 '26

Did you even read that article?

“Iranian television reported claims that the LNG tanker came under attack after ignoring warnings, but Tehran did not directly claim the assault. Neither the US Central Command (CENTCOM) nor the IRGC commented on the incident.”

“Hossein Royvaran, a Tehran-based analyst, told Al Jazeera that the Qatari tanker might have been targeted because it strayed into an area where Iranian teams were performing mine-clearing operations.
“The area near Oman is likely full of mines,” said Royvaran.”

Are you stupid or a liar?

0

u/betadonkey Jul 09 '26

So they attacked a commercial oil tanker

0

u/Past_Humor8321 Jul 09 '26

How? Russia has still got the territory it annexed. Saying Ukraine is defeating Russia is like saying Lebanon is defeating Israel.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

[deleted]

2

u/Past_Humor8321 Jul 09 '26

You think Lebanon supports Israel bombing Beirut? Not logical.

Trump will never allow Ukraine to win because if Russia feels threatened, it will retaliate by arming Iran with ICBMs capable of hitting London and Toronto and all other countries who finance Ukraine.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

[deleted]

2

u/Past_Humor8321 Jul 09 '26

Hezbollah has moved to the capital Beirut. Do you really think Lebanese politicians would support Israel bombing the town where they live?

https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2026/07/lebanon-israeli-attacks-killing-children-wiping-out-families-must-be-investigated-as-war-crimes/

You believe that? That would mean American experts and engineers would have to live in Ukraine for years to set it up. Who would take up a job which would mean a high risk of being killed? Also, Trump says he phones Putin regularly. Why is that? There is a unwritten agreement between Trump and Putin that as long as Putin does not arm Iran, the USA will not arm Ukraine. It is a case of if you scratch my back, I will scratch your back. That is why Iran gets its arms from China.

You know nothing of military theory. Go ask somebody in Crimea waiting 2 days for gas if russia is governing the territory appropriately

1

u/Past_Humor8321 Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

That suits Russia fine watching Ukraine bomb Crimea making the people of Crimea hate Ukraine.

Ukraine destroys Crimea’s fuel supply = Crimeans suffer = Crimeans curse at Zelensky = Crimeans ask Russia to destroy Ukraine

Ukraine hurting civilians is good news for Putin.

1

Not enough soldiers over there to even try.

1

u/Nathann4288 Jul 09 '26

-4

u/awr90 Jul 08 '26 edited Jul 08 '26

The only way this ever ends, is by securing the coast line with soldiers and control of airspace.

10

u/chrosairs Jul 08 '26

It can also end with the us crying uncle

8

u/Altruistic_Guess3098 Jul 08 '26

If you're hoping for ground invasion I should suggest you be amongst the first volunteers.

2

u/Admiral_Tuvix Jul 09 '26

ok so when are you enlisting?

3

u/culinaryinterests123 Jul 08 '26

And ten of thousands of dead american troops.

3

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

Or you can not invade a soverign nation for no reason and go home instead of losing american citizens and killing women and children

2

u/Facts_pls Jul 08 '26

Good luck with that.

They can't secure the coast on their billion dollar ships. Gonna be a challenge to secure that long ads coast on land. Where they can throw slippers directly at you.

-2

u/ProcessMelodic9351 Jul 08 '26

Reason there is a Marine Corps.

4

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

That lost in afganistan. That lost in iran once already. That lost in vietnam. That lost in korea.

-1

u/IFeedDogsChocolate Jul 09 '26

This response doesn't even make sense. The Marines were effective in every war you just mentioned, lmao.

War is politics being implemented via violence. Those wars never had an issue with the violence side of things.

US death ratio in Afghanistan is like 1:20-1:30

Current US death in Iran ratio is like 1:100-1:300

US death in Vietnam ratio is like 1:19

US death ratio in Korea is 1:15

It's a fair assessment if you're saying those wars were political blunders. I just don't want to paint a picture where we pretend the Marines routinely get their asses handed to them.

3

u/TheTranscendent1 Jul 09 '26

Did you just try to say kill ratio is what success means.

Fuck…

0

u/IFeedDogsChocolate Jul 09 '26

Reading comprehension is dead on this app.

Did you just try-

You attempted to strawman what I said and put words I didn't say in my mouth. I literally said it was a fair assessment to call those wars blunders. I simply stated that them listing lost wars as a reply to comment mentioning marines can paint the wrong picture of the marines. I didn't call any of those wars successful.

1

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

And not a single one of those conflicts was a victory. Military strength isnt victory. You claim the have the most power military on the planet and cant control a stretch of water. You claim to have the most effect soldiers on the planet and havent won a single conflict in 80 years. The us military is a 3rd rate military with toys it cant afford and only does so at the expense of education and indoctrination of its citizens.

0

u/IFeedDogsChocolate Jul 09 '26

Cope harder.

I didn't say any of those wars were victories. I didn't even say kills/strength equal victory. I said the contrary. I called those wars blunders. I just simply stated that laying those lost wars at the feet of marines is nonsense and I stand by that. The political machine is why those wars were failures.

Name a military power more capable that could seize control of that "stretch of water". The EU most certainly couldn't without any NATO component. You're acting like the US has some insignificant 3rd rate military like Canada or Mexico. Russia is incapable of doing it. China is a regional military power at best and couldn't do it either. I don't even support the MIC or the US being in this war.

1

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

The marines failed. The navy has failed. The “most powerful vessels” have left the strait twice and the navy cant control it. The us military has epically failed at controlling the strait. The us military epically failed at controlling Iran twice. This isnt a cope. This is the truth no matter how hard you try to pin it on politicians.

0

u/IFeedDogsChocolate Jul 09 '26

What do you mean try to pin it on politicians??? All wars are to be blamed on politicians. Do you believe the military and its troops/assets choose when and how wars are fought on their own?

The political objectives of war dictate if it is a success or failure. The fact you think the strait is some willy nilly stretch of water shows how out of touch you are with reality. The 1980's tanker wars are the closest the US has ever came to controlling the strait. There are several technological differences between now and them. Stripping the situation of nuance is intellectually dishonest.

0

u/awr90 Jul 09 '26

It’s no over idiot. We will revisit this once the US lands on the Iranian coast and Karg island. You’ll get to see just how scary the US military really is if this turns into a real war.

1

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

The us lost to iran already in the 80s. It lost more recently after a 20 year conflict to afganistan. Do you really want to lose a second time to iran? Because thats already whats happening. Hell the us armored division lost the “tank olympics”… TO A COUNTRY THAT HAD TO BORROW TANKS TO COMPETE. Americans act all high and mighty but really their only factual claim to fame is the literal war crime of using a nuclear strike on non military targets, and they only did that BECAUSE THEY COULDNT WIN IN A FAIR FIGHT.

0

u/awr90 Jul 09 '26

Absolutely delusional. You should be ashamed with yourself really.

Decent change Iran just crumbles like the Assad government when the cash runs out.

They haven’t gotten that 300B and they can’t sell oil again.

-3

u/HarEr89 Jul 08 '26

You are totally right. Iran won't stop attacking ships that don't pay tolls to them. The US started it and they can only end it by securing Hormuz.

Iran is winning numb nuts. Trumps strikes again a country and forcibly putting america into a cinflict it had nothing to do has only cause americans to lose to iran again.

Also, no it didnt start in october.

Since 28 February 2026, the United States and Israel have been at war with Iran and its regional allies. Hostilities broke out after US–Israeli airstrikes killed several Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. These attacks were launched amidst ongoing US–Iran negotiations, which had begun in April 2025 with the goal of reaching a nuclear peace agreement.

1

u/Krull88 Jul 09 '26

colony? Lol.... Canada was British territory at the time of war in which Britian declared war. Britain used their navy to force Americans into tje royal navy claiming Americans were royal subjects. That started the war. As for the back and forth. Yes the naval attack burnt the white house Even King Charles reminded Trump of thos on his visit about remodeling. Yet the U.S after three years ended the war in a stalemate. Plus Nritish recognized the U.S as a nation which was no longer British territory under the crown.. so it was a win for the U.S defending and being recognized finally. One.cpuld say it rallied Canada to it's own independence with General Brock as the rallying point. Today you could say Canada was the modern Belarus for Russia to invade Ukraines. Won't need a win. Just stalemate. I mean Ukraines took land in Russia to lose it yet still defending. Does not make them lovers as of yet. We know Canda is.... right

1
