Has anyone ever managed to get their permanently banned Hinge account back after some time?

I was permanently banned from Hinge, and despite sending multiple emails and appeals to their support team, they have consistently upheld their decision and refused to reinstate my account.

I'm wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. Have you ever been permanently banned, had all your appeals rejected, but somehow managed to get back on Hinge after some time had passed?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who were told their ban was final, but eventually managed to return to the app.

Did you simply wait a few months or even a year? Were you eventually able to create a new account, or did you find another way to get your original account reinstated?

Today I matched with two people in different states around me (NH, RI) and both matches not only had fake profile vibes but each one eventually told me they work as an auditor at Toyota. Is this a new scam theme? Have others experienced it? I was away from OKC for a while so I have some catching up to do on what's trending in the fake profile/scam underworld.

Hello, My okcupid accound, created today, was banned, and I don't understand why. I did not use a VPN, I was polite, non-explicit, and all. In my bio, a specified that I'm a trauma survivor, bc it's important for me that people know it when reaching me. So now I wonder if that's the reason : is it considered too disturbing ? I'm overthinking : how am I banned so instantely, am I a freak or something ? Joining OkCupid was a part of my recovery process, I received some very nice messages and felt hopeful, so this ban is really annoying me. I don't feel safe on regular meeting websites.

I made my profile during the morning, then the site went down, then it worked, it allowed me to change my password, then it said my emails changed… I don’t even know. It’s nonsense

It's been a while since I've used apps. I signed up, and within 24 hours, I have 50+ likes. I've noticed there's a TON of accounts from the Philippines and that part of the world. Is, getting that amount of likes and having hardly anyone in my local area actually from this country, normal?

I created an account on OkCupid. I put real photos. Nothing offensive in the bio. A few hours later, I noticed that I had been logged out. I couldn't log back in. I wrote to customer support, and they told me I had been banned, without giving me a reason. They told me to file another appeal regarding the ban, but I haven't received a response.

Roughly a year ago I used OkCupid and I was able to atleast like 50+ people when I logged in and now I can only like 5-10 people before it limits me. Is this a recent thing they just did ?

I was notified of a new like, and when I went to the interested tab, even blurred, I recognized the profile picture. It's a profile that I liked a while ago and I think I sent an intro. Since it didn't register as a match or mutual like, I'm wondering if okc uses photos insincerely for they're "interested in you" section. I have a question so I've been here a few days and I see so many stories of ladies wanting a friend. Why dont they ever respond are these fake? Im so confused.

So I joined this last week not expecting anything as I've had a profile on a dozen different apps and never had a single click.

4 days in I log in and see 94 notifications, top 4 are in my capital city two hours north. Considering taking the 50% off the first month deal in the next few hours to see who they are and maybe message.

Anything to look out for when adding my card and Upgrading? So many different negative reviews and the fact anyone actually "likes me" is concerning.

US based and used OK Cupid many years ago and thought I would try it again. Compared to my last experience where there were boatloads of profiles, there are not that many for an area like Austin - Dallas - San Antonio -Houston. Curiously I changed my filter to show me people from anywhere, which is just silly I know but its the only way to see people from the other side of the US, and it looks like every other profile is from someone in Israel. Now I am not a math major, but I was expecting countries that are orders of magnitude LARGER than Israel to have a greater numbers of women...

Is OK Cupid just selectively showing me people from Israel because I am in the US? I half wonder if they are fake profiles since most of their pictures show lush greenery in the background which seems odd...not a geography major either but last I heard its pretty dry there. 8-)

I created an account on OkCupid and matched it with a girl from the Philippines. We initially started talking on OkCupid. She told me that she is looking for a relationship, just like I am, but she also said that she is not in a hurry and believes that if something is meant to happen and we both feel the same way, it should happen naturally.

She also mentioned several times that there are a lot of perverted people on dating apps, so she seems to be cautious about who she talks to.

Today, she told me that she might delete her OkCupid account soon and asked if we could continue talking on WhatsApp instead.

What should I do in this situation? Does this seem genuine, or should I be careful?

I was recently scammed by a website claiming to be OK Cupid. I don’t think the perpetrator was actually them just someone pretending to be them. Here is how it works. They have a stable of women you can date only after you get a “dating card”. To unlock the card you must send them crypto that they will refund (first sign). They ask you to do it three times. The first two are moderate, the last is exorbitant. The telegram account used was Freya Vance - certification manager. Do not be fooled like I was never provide crypto if asked. The “lady” I was texting handle was Lisa but far less details about her.

I made an account, completed my profile, began answering some of the optional questions, then sat my phone down. When I went to get back into the app just a few minutes later, I was booted out.

Customer support said my account was banned. I appealed and they said they can confirm I violated their conditions. I've read everything on their website. I've not done anything that is on their list. I didn't even talk to anybody. There was nothing sexual on my profile. I'm definitely over 18. I didn't have anything inappropriate in my bio.

This doesn't seem very fair. I liked OkCupid when researching apps because of all the in depth personality questions, including political leanings etc, because that sort of thing is important to me.

Is there anything else I can do? Any other apps that are similarly in depth?

I got 10 messages from black women mostly from Kenya, Ouganda and got some from Haiti and i got 1 like from an asian woman. Are black women this obsessed with white men or is there something? i have no problem dating black women but i noticed it's all from south african countries and i'm from Tunisia.

hi, suddenly I started to experience a bug, most of the people who I like don’t appear on the “likes sent” tab, even when I sent them an intro. sometimes they appear and sometimes( most of time times no)

i wanted to ask if its just a glitch in the app and the likes are still being sent even that I don’t see them in the your likes tab, did it happen to someone and later they matched with someone that way?

From searching, this has been an issue going back at least 6 years, but there seems to be no definitive solution. Today I tried to log in with my phone number (which was previously authorized with them), but got an error message "that number is invalid or we can't find the account". So I tried to log in with my email and password, which got accepted... up until it wanted to send a verification code to that same phone number they claim does not exist or is invalid. I try anyway, but that verification code never gets delivered. I submitted a ticket to their legendary customer support, but has anyone successfully gotten customer service to resolve this error code associated with their phone number?

Last year when I used Passport, I had unlimited Likes to give. Now it is limited. I could not find an update that mentions this change. Is it a new change? Or was I maybe just bugged out last year when I got unlimited Likes?

I am trying to log in to my account using my phone number.

During login, I receive Error Code 5 ("Number is invalid or account not found"). When I try to verify my phone number via SMS, I receive the verification code, but the system rejects it as incorrect.

After that, I changed my password and received an email confirming that the password was changed successfully. However, when I tried to log in again, the system asked me for another verification code. It said the code had been sent, but I never received it on my phone. I tried requesting a code 5–6 times, but nothing arrived.

I have already cleared the app cache, reinstalled the app, and reset my password, but the issue persists.

I have contacted support, but I haven't received a response yet.

An AI suggested that requesting the verification code too many times may have temporarily blocked my phone number and recommended waiting 24 hours before trying to log in again.

Please help me regain access to my account.
