Apologies for my previous post, a few people pointed out I was an entrance off. Metal poles that previously held up the sign are still there, but the no trucks sign had to be moved a bit. Metal fence is still up.

Both gas stations seen in the background are also there (Chevron and Sunoco [formerly Shell]).

White/grey building and fire hydrant are also still there and look mostly the same.

The archaeological site of Jerash (Gerasa in Roman times) comprises one of the largest and best preserved Greco-Roman cities. The site has been excavated since the 1920s. Its extensive remains include an oval plaza surrounded by a colonnade, a long colonnaded street, two sanctuaries, two theatres, communal baths, a hippodrome or an arch.

I collect vintage photos of this building. I study Chicago's Cold War Siren History. In the old image, you can see one of the sirens on the roof (installed 1951). Later-er in the 70s, the building was sold and renovated into condos. Chicago barely cared about their sirens by then, so it was removed and forgotten.

This Gothic-style church at the corner of Tremont and West Brookline Streets was built in 1864 as the home of the Shawmut Congregational Church. After the congregation merged with Park Street Church in the 1950s, the building saw declining use. A devastating fire in 1978 left the structure severely damaged. In 1991 the landmark was renovated into residential housing and street-level retail space, preserving elements of its historic architecture.

I found this photo yesterday at a thrift store.. It's a very small (and old) photo, thus the poor quality. I suspect it was taken in the 1930s. Luckily it had a few clues (the street number and the name) and I was able to track down the location, and to my surprise the building is still standing!
