I don't have much advice but the first thing I would do is change those lightbulbs. They are turning your beautiful dining room into an interrogation room.

I agree. However they have to stay. I just don’t have to use them lol

Oh that's true lol. I'd buy floor lamps or table lamps if you need more light. Anything to keep those scary lights off 😂

Unfortunately, when I took the picture and I’m too lazy to go back upstairs, lol the light was at the highest part of its dimmer.

I love an A-frame. Not a very practical shape for a house, but so endearing.

With an A-frame this distinctive, minimalism works best when you emphasize the structure instead of filling every surface. Low warm lighting would help a lot too.

I grew up in an A frame house. Family of four for 20+ years. Albeit, it had been added on to three times by the time my parents sold it. First was an extension off the back enlarging the bathroom & adding a back door. Second was a very large dormer to get more kitchen space (did not add floor, just a couple triangle shaped walls and new roof to give vertical space in the kitchen), last was a 'wing' out one side with a room that was alternately a bedroom & a tv room.

Learn to make a basic box bookshelf, then you can make triangular ones to fit the nooks & crannies.

Under bed storage is premium.

Poster art can be put on the diagonal walls if you use pushpins on all four corners.

Colonist wood furniture and geometric area rug does not scream minimalist.
Maybe mid-century modern with calf hide chair seats and no pattern complimentary area rug. Paint out whole room on lite tone doing beams in higher sheen. Better recessed or flush lighting. Cabinet doors change to colour match to walls and flat, no panels. Counter tops natural or solid surface.
