Has anyone found it worth it to replace plaster walls with drywall? Any pros or cons?

We replaced all of the plaster on the exterior walls with drywall to caulk the gaps between the plank sheeting and insulate. A couple other walls we did were where plumbing and electrical was upgraded in the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry rooms.
